  • 1. Carrie from FL

    2. TTC #1 since January (finishing up 4th d&e cycle)

    3. Charting/temping, opks

    4. 12dpo, BFN yesterday, temp dropping since 8dpo (with one deceptive little rise yesterday) and fell below coverline today. AF due Saturday.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? This cycle and I aren't speaking.

QOTW:  What is your favorite summer activity?  Hiding in the air conditioning. Summer in Florida is a bit much. But when our weather turns more like other people's summers, I like sitting around a fire in the backyard in the evening.

    1. Amanda Marie from MD

    2. Cycle #3, TTC #1

    3. What are you doing this cycle?
    Nothing - still

    4. Where are you in your cycle?
    I don't know.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle?
Better than last week.  Hubby made a doctor's appointment to get checked and make sure everything's ok.  He sees a DR Friday, and happily used that as an excuse to take the whole day and give himself a three day weekend.

QOTW: My favorite activity: going to the ballpark!  And I have tickets for tonight's game.  So by 6:00 pm this evening I will be the proud owner of a Jayson Werth Chia pet!

    Fingers crossed for you Kathleen!
  • Hi! Knottiesomenumber, aka Erin from NJ

TTC #2 for me, #3 for him and #1 for us

I'm charting CM and CP. Giving temp a break since it causes me to be
    anxious.

    I'm at 1DPO

This cycle I'm feeling hopeful. My CM finally seems normal after getting my IUD removed.

My favorite activity? Napping? I like napping. Unless I wake up groggy, then I hate napping. Lol.
  • Hello! I'm on mobile so I'll type up a summarized version of this check in.

    TTC #1 - cycle #3.
I'm on CD3 of a very mild, symptom-free period, thanks to my TCM drops and acupuncture sessions. So happy! I didn't get the usual annoying headache on CD1. Yay!

I'm feeling hopeful this cycle. We're working together abroad and will have a few days off during my fertile window. I'm really hoping this can be it. Nonetheless, I'm happy to be successfully regulating my period. What a difference!

I love the summer, it's my absolute favorite season and I love doing pretty much everything as long as it's hot and sunny outside!

    2. Trying to conceive #1 for about a year.

    3. This is my first IUI cycle.

    4. I'm currently on the dreaded 2WW, waiting to test on Friday! It's taking every last oz of self control not to test today.

    5. I'm feeling anxious, and unfortunately, a little discouraged about this cycle.

QOTW:  It's pretty much summer year round here, and I love scuba diving

Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed for BFPs all around!
  • 1. happyktmom from VA

    2. TTC#2 since 4/2014

    3. Charting/ temping/ PNV's and extra Vit D/ Metformin...that's pretty much it

    4. CD15, had a temp surge yesterday am but FF hasn't recognized it yet.  only one BD CD13 so I hope it counts!

    5. not very confident.  Not sure what my body is doing.  Planning drastic weight loss, carb cutting next cycle.

QOTW:  I love everything about summer...even the heat and humidity we get in NoVA.  i love the pool, beach and winery touring!

    Good luck ladies!

    3. Just BDing at the right time.

    4. In the TWW. Won't test until next weekend, if AF doesn't show up when scheduled.

    5. Not super hopeful. H and I were arguing on the two best fertility days.

QOTW: What is your favorite summer activity? I like sitting on the back porch at sunset drinking some iced tea and taking it slow. Sounds like a country song. :)
  • 1. Thistle8677 in Oregon

    2. TTC#5 (#1 for SO) since aug/sept. 2014
    (History of recurrent mc)

    3. Taking a break from temping, which is actually resulting in better sleep...who knew?!
    Prenatals, checking cm, digital opk's & Wondfo's...
Clean eating (mostly)....gonna try mucinex again this cycle...I actually had a lot of cm last cycle when I tried it, so maybe there's something to it?
I have also been swimming. So far 5 days in the past week, so I can kind of pat myself on the back for that.
**oh and sonohysterogram scheduled for Friday morning...and SO has agreed to call his dr to get his blood karyotype. (I'm secretly feeling very nervous about this for him and for us...I don't know why...I mean I guess I do know why...I may post later about it.)

    4. Cd7...I think? I don't know I seriously can't remember my name these days.

    5. I don't know how I feel about this month.
I'm sure I'll let you know as soon as I jump on the crazy train!

Good luck to all of us!

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    Heather (EmsMama15) from MN

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC #2, stopped breastfeeding my daughter in March 2014, never thought I'd still be trying...

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Waiting for my period to start and then IUI - hopefully lucky #6.  In addition to all the other supplements and dietary changes I've already made, I've added a new prenatal, probiotics, a B complex, inositol supplement, some chinese herbs, a new acupuncturist, Reiki, gluten free diet (going okay - maybe I'll call it a gluten cut-down diet).

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
    AF due any minute

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I'm feeling really defeated.  Infertility has kicked my butt and I'm just not hopeful.  My hubby says I can't go into the next cycle with so much negativity.  I know this but I'm not sure how to get over it.  Maybe Reiki will help this morning.  I'll mention it to my practitioner.

QOTW:  What is your favorite summer activity?
Being at our cabin and just looking out at the lake with my morning coffee.

Shout out to all.  I'm sorry.  I have no energy this morning, but I have you all in my thoughts!!

Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • @emsmama15, I'm sorry you're in a bad place. My advice would be not to fight it. Feel what you're feeling and maybe you'll come out of it naturally. Sometimes trying not to feel the way we feel can add stress and make it worse.

  • @jilligan14 - I have two formulas. One is for the period, which she named Painful Periods, and the other is to aid in conception and improve circulation. This one she named Follicular Formula. I have the sheets with the list of herbs they contain but I don't have it handy right now... I'll get back to you in a few days!

The acupuncturist I'm seeing here where I am is 100% Chinese and also 100% ruthless! He places the needles and then screws them in place... #$£€:@/?: It's torture! I saw him on Tuesday and the needle he placed on my left ovary is still stimulating me... I feel like it's still there! Edited a word

  • @emsmama15 it breaks my heart to read this. You are so wonderful to me, keeping me positive and motivated, and I wish there was something I could say to do the same for you.
  • Thanks everyone.  I'm just feeling blue.  I'm sure it will pass.  I feel a little better after Reiki this morning.  My acupuncturist also said I have to let it all out @CarrieandRoy.  I think I agree.  The more I try to feel better, the worse I feel.  I'm fully aware (since today is CD1) that part of this is totally and completely hormonal.  The further I go and the more meds I take, the more emotional I seem to get with hormone swings.  I think my spirit is just a little broken right now and I'm guessing that once I get into the cycle, I'll feel better.  It just hit me so out of the blue.

@SnnyFlwr - thanks.  And please don't let my gloom and doom make you feel any less positive and motivated.  I really am usually very hopeful.  Just feeling really down this week.

  • @emsmama15 I agree with your acupuncturist - I feel so much better if I give in to it and let it out. I've searched YouTube for "videos that will make you cry" and that helps too. It's hormone and sleep related for me and sometimes a good cry is really cathartic.

    2. ttc #1 for a while

3/4: On OCPs in prep for our FET in mid Sept. I got the rest of my meds yesterday for the FET cycle. i have to go through them today.

    5. Hopeful, but the transfer is still a little ways away and this is my busiest time at work so have been more focused on work. I am feeling a bit nauseous and not quite myself. The OCPs usually unsettle my stomach for a coupe of days, but i have been on them for 2 weeks now. I am wondering if my own hormones and my body are still recovering from the last cycle. Hope it evens out before the transfer.

QOTW - fav summer activities are backpacking and reading on our front porch.

General shout out to everyone - i am gone a lot in August (with no internet) so haven't been on the board a lot. but wanted to let you know that i have been thinking of all of you!!

@happyktmom - thanks for doing the checkin!! I will be here this wednesday (8/12) but gone again the following wednesday (8/19)

@KLake42 - your post cracked me :). Hope those sperm are staying focused and doing their job!!!

@amimhof - how is your chia pet progressing? :)

@jilligan14 - hope your feeling better! ear infections are awful :( . but, yay for good insurance.

  • AF came a day later than expected, with a record-breaking low temperature and the symptoms are much worse than usual. Cramps, low back ache and fatigue that Midol can't fix. Usually Midol is my wonder-drug. I actually took a nap a while after I took it, even though it's loaded with caffeine. Not being pregnant is bad enough. Way to kick me while I'm down, AF.

  • Years ago my GYN recommended Alleve for cramping and not Midol because caffeine can make cramps worse. After experimenting with Alleve, Excedrine, and lattes, I agree. Mochas or lattes used to be a treat/reward during AF, but I've cut those out almost completely (I'd rather not have one than have decaf). Since my CP, AF cramps are much worse. Maybe it's coincidence.
  • Hugs @CarrieandRoy.  AF sucks.  Mine have been heinous since I started injectable meds.  I think it's partly because the injectables make your lining so much thicker (at least in my case) and then you have to shed so much more.  But it's just extra painful too.  :(

@jilligan14 I'm going to attach the list of herbs I'm taking (drops). They're the ones with a check mark. The first photo is the Painful periods formula and the second the Follicular formula.

  • @CarrieandRoy so sorry AF came! :(
    Hope you're feeling better now!

This acupuncturist I'm seeing is really good, just a completely different style from what I'm used to. He's head of the TCM institute here and comes highly recommended. I did tell him to go easy last time I saw him, as I have amazingly thin skin which is barely there. It went smoothly and I feel great. He did say my circulation pulse is getting stronger... Music to my ears :)
