Scheduling Adding to the Already Mountainous Stress?!?

I'm feeling sooooo frustrated to the point of tears right now. As if having trouble conceiving isn't stressful enough, it's turning out to be impossible to schedule appointments with my AR dr. anywhere near the time I need to in order to not have to miss another cycle. It's ridiculous! She tells me she wants to see me the last week of August to go over test results, but there are no appointments available until the middle of September???!! So now I have to see a dr. I don't know at an office location that is 40 minutes away, otherwise if I want to see my doctor I'd have to wait yet another month to move forward with IUI. I would give up on them and go to another AR specialist, but that would also mean waiting until I can get a consultation appointment, and then getting the tests done and waiting waiting waiting even more! Feeling so helpless and angry right now. I just want to do this already.

    That is frustrating. I would absolutely start seeking out a new RE. Are there other Drs in the practice you can see?

    @Flamingemu - The problem I have is with the practice, not the actual doctor. She's great! But getting appointments within any reasonable timeframe is so impossible. I really don't want to go elsewhere because then I'll have to start all over again and I'm afraid it will take even longer!

    Waiting is very annoying I know.  I hope you can get in somewhere to get going on the treatments.  What is an AR doctor?

    IUI #6 -Follitism IUI cycle converted to IVF and back to IUI-4 mature, 3 maybe mature = BFP!!   DS Born 9/2014
    TTC#2 
    IVF #1 9/15 Antagonist- 19 R 1F (Frozen day 1 @ 2PN stage) Diagnosed with SER aggregates in 13/19 eggs after failed fertilization
    IVF #2 11/15 Antagonist w/ICSI  (Higher stims & Letrosole added last minute on stim day 7)- 39R, 24M (20/24 SER free), 15F (14/15 SER free & all frozen @ 2PN stage) 
    FET#1 Cultured all 16- 2pn embryos to day 5- transferred 1 good hatching blast and 1 early blast on 1/28- None to freeze - beta 2/5

    I have this exact same problem!  I started to get ahead of the practice and ask to schedule appts way before I need them.  I ask my doctor when he thinks I *might* need to see him and schedule an appt even if I don't really need one at the time!

    I swear I've been seeing an RE for over a year now and have only had 4 active cycles trying because I've been benched, waiting, on BCPs, waiting...it's so freaking annoying!!!

    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    @Frenchteachermama - That is such a good idea! I'm totally going to do that. Maybe I'll just make an appointment once a month and then cancel if I don't need it! It really is ridiculous, isn't it? It almost feels like they're just trying to mess with us!

    Maybe make sure that the doctor is aware of the situation with the appointments...if she isn't it is possible she may ok them to work you into her schedule?

    @erikamg call the front desk and ask them to send over any testing or info they have to the new place. The new place will likely redo everything, but at least they have it.

    @flamingemu - Thanks, good advice! Luckily, I only JUST started with them and they haven't done any tests yet! So all I need to do is give the new place a copy of the same med records I collected for the old place, and voila! I also really like that they request that you drop the records off at the office a few days before your appointment so the dr. can look familiarize herself with them prior to seeing you. Dr. #1 looked at them for the first time during our consultation. Which was okay I guess, but this new practice seems to be a bit more on the ball which is a good sign...

    Glad you are feeling more confident with this new practice. Waiting is always the worst part of IF.

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.
