@AdventureMama , I love you. Those caramel shortbread slices look scrumptious.
@notasycophant: No prob. We make them every Christmas! So good. Just make sure you give yourself lots of time because cutting them when they aren't cold enough is a big fail.
P.S. I use instant coffee instead of the espresso. I had some of those Starbucks VIA packets laying around I used. This recipe is also a small batch. I usually double or triple this one.
My favorite in my husband's "garbage cookies" he uses the toll house recipe for chocolate chip and then lods it down with mint chips, toffee bits, mini m&m's, coconut, pb chips and whatever else he is in the mood for....sounds gross but tastes amazing! Each bite has a different flavor!
I do a ton of baking around Christmas, and my favourite is cranberry, white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies. Sugar cookies come in a close second... probably tied with haystacks (not really a cookie). Ugh, I'm dying for cookies now!
SNICKERDOODLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're kinda my specialty, I make them with a little nutmeg and put some of the cinnamon and nutmeg in the dough instead of just sprinkled on top Sooooooooooooooo great!!!!!!

I want these SO bad!!! Hopefully I'll feel well enough to bake soon!
Specifically my mom's chocolate chip or oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! I remember sometimes coming home from school after she had made cookies that day...yum! So they taste like childhood to me. I'm really a terrible baker but could really go for some of her cookies now!
Pumpkin chocolate chip! Far and away my favorite. Just ask the Internet for recipes and then pick a favorite - but in my humble opinion, the ones that call for pumpkin butter are far superior (over the ones that, say, have you just use canned pumpkin. Those are pretty darn good too though!)
They have oatmeal, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pretzels, potato chips, and ground coffee. I don't know if they're my favorite cookies ever, but they were pretty darn good.
