Allergies

Does anyone else deal with them? I have asthma and pretty bad season allergies. I've stopped taking my Zyrtec (which I have to take year round) and it is miserable! I'm pretty sure from last time it was after 1st tri I was able to start the zyrtec again. But I can't remember. I plan on asking my doctor at my 1st appt, but it's not til week after next. And I can't remember if there is anything safe for me to take this early or not.

It's making me crazy! My eyes are so itchy... ARGH!

    I don't know about Zyrtec but I know you can take Claritin provided it's just loratadine and doesn't have a decongestant

    My OB okayed Zyrtec (PLAIN.. with nothing added) my entire pregnancy. It's Class B from what I've seen. I'd just give your OBs nurse a call. No reason being miserable in the meantime! 

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

    My OB isn't ok with any of those before 6 weeks for sure. And like I said, no Zyrtec until 2nd tri (though now I can't remember why). You can bet I'll be asking though!

    My ob cleared my xyzal (rx zyrtec) and Singulair. Both are category B. I take them year round as well. I cant breathe if I dont and I have high IgE so its best for me to keep inflammation down to avoid an infection. I still worry about it though. I would call your dr tomorrow, they should be able to advise on a medication before your first apt!

    Let me know when you find out! I stopped taking all my allergy meds just in case.
