hi everyone, I'm 18 and 1/2 weeks and really starting to feel like I need a pregnancy pillow to help me sleep through the nights. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get? I've been looking at the bumpnest or the snoogle
I love the snoogle. Bought it for my last pregnancy and pulled it out of storage as soon as I found out this time. It's helpful now and a total lifesaver later.
I LOVE my Back 'N Belly Contoured Body Pillow which is also ny Leachco. You can use it in all kinds of ways. I even like it for sitting and reading. As opposed to the snoogle, you don't have to flip it around if u decide to switch sides.
I've even come home to find my husband napping in it.
I love my Boppy pregnancy pillow. It comes in sections so you can reposition or use in other positions without excess bulk. I've slept so solidly since I broke down and got it a couple weeks ago. For me, the other ones seemed rather flat and this one is poofy and just right.
I found that the snoogle didn't really help me until I had a decent sized belly. Now I'm fighting sciatic pain while trying to get to sleep and the only thing that helps is a super large pillow under my knees while lying on my back. Any other suggestions to relieve scaitic pain? I've been having a miserable couple of nights.
I have today's mom cozy comfort pregnancy pillow. It was the greatest with DS. I haven't pulled it out yet because we have a queen size bed and it takes up a lot of space. I am trying to make it to 20 weeks so my hubby won't want to kill me ;-) but I really want it lol.
I bought a snoogle. So far I like it and am using it in a variety of ways (coiled up under my legs when reading in bed, behind my back while watching tv).
I am not really big yet and am also tall (5'9") so I may end up adding another pillow under my feet to keep my hips/legs elevated throughout.
I got the Snoogle and am a little disappointed - to sleep with it in front it is decent but when I use it for back support then it becomes my head pillow in that position and I feel like it's not comfortable for the head and that it doesn't come down enough so I don't have anything to hold against my chest.

This. YES!!!! I'm using mine again for this pregnancy and love it even more. I love you don't have to move it to roll over .... It's always got your back! A must buy!!!
Whoa. I just looked up that back n belly pillow as I'm having some horrible scaitic pain and had the worst carpal tunnel last pregnancy, but holy huge? I mean I guess it has to be but I'm a little put off by how big it is. You sleep with that under the covers? And you don't use your regular pillow? I love my regular pillow. I'm conflicted.
Just got the snoogle 2 days ago after a week of horrible sleep because I couldn't take it any more. I was holding off because it just seemed too expensive for a pillow and I thought, how much difference could it make? I LOVE the stupid thing and wish I would of bought it a month ago!

I know, I had the same thought. If we had a king sized bed, then maybe. But we have a queen. I just don't see that working well.
I recently got the back and body pillow, and i LOVE it. Supports my back really well. I will say its slightly large for me. (Im 5 ft <100lbs) and it takes up the whole bed so i usually only use it on nights i feel like i need it, but im only 15wks. Im sure soon ill need it all the time!
@laineylove78 you betcha the pillow is big! I should've prefaced that I do have a king size bed and it's still big. Although we had a queen size last pregnancy and I managed to still make it work... Hubby likes it because I don't roll over to him and make him too hot lol. I do put it under my comforter, and sheet. But after I slept with it the first night, all the issues with its size melted away because I was finally comfortable. I do use it with my regular pillows under my head. It keeps me just elevated enough to somewhat control my reflux at night. I wish there was a way to try it to see if you like it first... I just took a chance and gladly deal with the bulky-ness every night
@laineylove78 We have a queen. I kind of like my regular pillows because they are soft and squishy. I usually sleep with the loop at the bottom and the unattached ends by my head and put my pillow in between. We have amazon prime, so I kind of figured I had the free return as an option.
We have a king it just looks so cumbersome. Do you sleep with it all night or at some point it gets tossed onto the floor? I know that eventually I'm going to need something, I have the snoogle but I don't love it. I move around a lot in my sleep so it's annoying to constantly reposition it. Which is why I thought this back n body pillow may be the answer. I just can't get it together to admit I'm pregnant enough to have this huge pillow in bed with me for the next 24 weeks. I need to start doing yoga.
@laineylove78 I sleep with mine all night, I never toss it out of the bed... Well with the exception of sexy time..I agree that Amazon might be a good option for returning if you don't like it :-).
I kind of hate the Snoogle and so does my hubby. It just takes up so much room! My dh hates it to the point of sleeping elsewhere some times, so I haven't gotten it out for this pregnancy yet. I do have to say it helped feel more comfortable but I still never actually felt comfortable.
