Brown spotting. Should I be worried?

So I had bleeding at 11weeks and was told I had a sub. hemorrhage. Chances of miscarrying went from 50% to 5%. After intercourse I had a gush of brown blood come out and then a little spotting after it but it was brown. I know brown blood is old blood but I can't help but to freak out. My next apt isn't until the 18th. Should I be concerned? I'm not going to lie that I'm terrified ever since I was told about the hemorrhage and feel at any moment I can lose my baby.

Have you called your doctor? I'd try to get in ASAP, but when I had a subchronic hematoma they put me on pelvic rest (no sex) so it very well could be that having sex loosened old blood.

  • Thank you for replying. @PlainJane8350 I was put on pelvic rest until recently. My ob only told me not to carry anything over 10/15 lbs. She said nothing about sex. But now I think I should hold off sex until i talk to her at my next apt.
  • I would. As long as my hematoma was there, they told me no sex. Don't tell your husband that I said that, though! J/K
  • Thank you love. Lol I won't. He's been very understanding and cautious as well.
  • I had mine for a good part of my first and second trimester and my husband was understanding, too. We're lucky, though! I've read posts where the men complain and I can't even imagine!
