BF Mommas, what are some of your favorite nursing tops or tops to nurse in? I'm about to go crazy not being able to nurse in public because nothing I wear seems to work without stripping down. Bras, tanks, tops, what is working for you?
I live in nursing tank tops from target! Also, strapless dresses. I don't know what I'm going to do when this good weather goes away. But, for now, that's what's been working. I want to get a nursing bra but I haven't found one that I like yet.
During the day I pretty much just live in a robe... Haha
Getting my normal bras altered to nursing bras at Nordstoms was a big win. I hated all the other actual nursing bras I had tried- nothing fit right. Who ever recommended this a while back, thank u!
I'm also digging the nursing tanks from target. I also got some nursing tanks from target, too - very similar in form to sports bras, just easier to pull aside the part covering the boob and kinda tuck it under. I like the feel of those better than the nursing bras that are more like traditional bras (with clasps at the back, etc)
I can't seem to make regular nursing bras work. They're too bulky under my boob when it's all clipped down. It doesn't bother LO but it drives me insane. Maybe I'll be driving a few hours to Nordstroms. That sounds like a dream. Ordering tanks from Target tomorrow after my check goes through. thanks y'all
Has anyone ever bought from milknursingwear.com? They have really pretty tops for nursing that part of the shirt opens for minimal exposure in public. Just curious if quality and if it works as well as it looks.
I'm wearing lots of target nursing tanks. Anyone with ginormous breasts like their nursing bras? Mine went up at least a cup size again after birth. My bravado ones aren't giving me enough support now and I hate underwire.
The target nursing tanks clogged my ducts. Too scared to try any others. I just wear shirts and pull them up. Missing all my cute summer sundresses though

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

Me too. I'm surprised no one makes sundresses for nursing. Seems like it would be so easy.
Ha. I'm not cool enough to be a nurse. I tried for a whole month and couldn't hang. Adults aren't my speed, I like my elementary kiddos
I bought a bra from Target last night and I hate it. Underwire hurts, man. I miss push up life...at least they are absorbent. I leaked everywhere with a bra and nursing pads on my cart.
Not a fan of shopping in clothing stores, esp. with LO. I've had good luck ordering online from destination maternity. They always have some type of sale going on. I've only ever had to return maternity pants, but buying pants without trying them on first is always a gamble.
Lurking from may15....I just discovered h&m makes nursing tops that aren't just tank tops and are very cute and flattering. Just wanted to share. Sometimes the same old tanks make me feel frumpy.
I ditched actual nursing clothes early on with DS1. I felt like most of them were low-cut enough that I didn't even need to bother, LOL!
My "uniform" is two shirts: one to go up and one to go down. It could be a low-cut tank under a T-shirt (t goes up, tank goes down) or a high-necked shirt layered under something with buttons or stretch neck (high shirt goes up, stretchy or buttons go down). I really like thrift store stuff for whatever I pull down because they do get stretched out.
As for bras, I have whatever brand the local specialty shop carries because they'll tailor it to my impossible-to-find size. A supportive nursing bra is the one thing I do splurge for in clothing.
Ugh I am so tired of wearing a bra 24/7. I leak constantly , so I have to. I bought an underwire nursing bra from target that is bulky, uncomfortable, and gave me plugged ducts. Then I got 2 non underwire nursing bras from motherhood maternity/buy buy baby that are more sports bra-ish. Comfy, but don't make my boobs look that great. Plus I sweat in them a lot. I mostly wear the motherhood maternity ones with a tank or tshirt that I pull down or up.
I really need to get some lightweight dresses for the summer (in Australia, so it's still winter at the moment, but in summer it's ridiculously stinking hot), but my options in this town are limited so I'll probably have to buy online. But every website I look at, the nursing clothes are also maternity clothes and are only shown with a bump. So I have no idea what they'll look like on a non pregnant person. >:(
I got the "favorite tanks" from target. They work well under other tops, or under a button down. The neck pulls down and doesn't stretch out. I've been going for anything with a stretchy neckline. Then again, I'm not NIP until my letdown gets under control.
I just wear a nursing bra from target (no underwire though!) and a looser tshirt most of the time. As a few quote from David Allen goes "In my opinion anyone offended by breastfeeding is staring too hard."
Returned the bad bra and just rocked a sports bra yesterday and got a freaking plugged duct. What's up bra places... You suck . I have an order at Motherhood online that I'm hesitant to put through. So expensive for a probably junky bra with plastic clips. If this fails, heading to Nordstrom to get some regular bras altered. DH agreed to the trip if I try one more time.
I just bought a bunch of bras from zulily I need the wire so I got a bunch I bought 3 from amazon and all three that I got the wire came out, yea I can fix that but all three was very upsetting. I have two hands free pumping bras. One is lightweight like sport bra that I wear under a regular underwrite nursing bra. Plus the pads mostly my boobs just look awful now...
Hanes has these convertible bras at target for $12. They're not true nursing bras because the strap just unclicks, but I was getting clogged ducts from the portion on the side of nursing bras that stays up while you nurse. I love them they are SO comfy and soft.

I've been living in target nursing tanks also but just ordered some shirts off latchedmama.com because I was gifted a gift card. I'll let yall know how they are!
Do you wear a nursing bra the entire time you breastfeed? Like a year? And When can you reintroduce an underwire? These nursing bras aren't cute and are not flattering to my ginormous boobs

Time to go back to bed.
