Hi everyone. My name is *edited by mod* and I am 38 years old. I have had PCOS since I was 14, just found out I have low progesterone, and had gastric bypass 2 years ago and because of my pcos in only lost half of the weight i wanted. My SO and I had our first biological child together over 9 years ago and concieved her when I was the same weight I am now and while on both the patch and metformin. Back then I was not even TTC. We have been trying again for the last 4 months and this is my 1st round of clomid 50mg (cd3-7 ). I am currently 11 dpo and I think cd 24. I still am getting bfn on pg tests and am now waiting to see if AF is going to be visit even though I have some pg symptoms but know that my AF and pcos can play games with my mind. I am trying to stay positive but am now finding myself trying to find all reasons to cling to the hope that I will get a bfp by end of week but the other half of me has begun to give up while expecting that I may need to start round two of clomid next week. I use opks and chart my temp like my Dr told me to and am still new at temping and am not perfect at it.
Re: Introducing myself (child mentioned)
This is a great group of women and I think that you'll fit right in. I'm wondering why in the world your Dr wants you to temp. PCOS can really screw up your temps and so does Clomid! It can be an exercise in futility and you should be monitored while on fertility drugs through bloodwork and ultrasounds anyway. I hope that you're being monitored on that Clomid (meaning seeing an RE and not an OBGYN) for reasons that you'll learn as you read prior posts on this board.
Good luck and I hope that your stay is short and sweet!
