I am 40 weeks along currently. I intend on breastfeeding for a year and am looking to download an app to help monitor and keep track of things. What are some apps you would recommend and why?
I have BabyConnect and I like it because it lets you customize the settings/main screen, decide which things you want to track (nursing, pumping, bottles, diapers, potty training, etc) and you can set timers/reminders if desired. It also keeps track of medical data - height, weight, head circumference, temperature, vaccinations, medications, etc. You can also add photos, send emails, look at charts of the data, connect with multiple caregivers/spouse, and other stuff. It also works for multiple children.
I use "Nursing". It's free. Helpful in the early days because it will tell you when LO needs to eat next. Really nice in the middle of the night when your brain isn't working.
I second Baby Connect. The only bad thing is you do have to pay for each device download. For example it's on my phone, my husbands and my iPad if anyone babysat, so it was like $15 for all three. But totally worth it. My LO is almost a year and half and we still use it on the weekends and after work.
I use feed baby. It syncs with my hubby's phone. We can track feeds, diapers, growths, pumpings, sleeps and more. There's a free version, but we bought it without trying the free version. We're both impressed with it.
BabyNursing - easy to use, downloadable data, syncs between devices (only have to pay once, then share with your IPhone Family to get on your SO's device and maybe an iPad if you wanted). The app tracks nursing sessions, bottles, pumpings, diapers, vaccinations, etc. Love it.
What exactly are you looking to track? I guess I just don't really understand the point. I've always just fed on demand. I feel like unless you are having a problem with them eating or weight gain or something, then there's really no need to track anything. Then only thing I need to remember that I sometimes have trouble with is remembering which side I started nursing on and for that I just keep a hair tie around my wrist and I put it on whichever wrist I start on, then the next time I start on the side that doesn't have the hair tie. Simple and easy.
I used Baby Connect and I really liked it, it has a ton of functions and I like that you can make a report or email of the data. That said, we used it so much bc we have twins and they were in the NICU so we had to track their feeds and diapers pretty closely. Now that they are in a normal weight range we are not using it. If I had one term baby I would probably just make a list on my phone and track it there. That's what I did to track my milk production
Re: Best apps for keeping track of feedings

Love it.
