Help!

I'm 4 weeks pregnant tomorrow and tonight there was a pool party at our local water park. I went on two water slides thinking it would be okay, but now I'm reading that it's VERY NOT okay. I'm terrified that I'm going to have a miscarriage now and it will be MY fault. After having two back to back and having our last lost at 12 weeks I'm terrified. Do you think I hurt my baby? This sounds ridiculous but I'm so scared. :(

Re: Help!

  • I think you'll be fine. Honestly, baby is the size of a poppy seed right now and is snug tight in your uterus. A lot of women don't even know they're pregnant at this point so I wouldn't worry about it.

  • Why aren't water slides ok? (serious question, I have never heard that).
  • I went on Alpine slides and did other such activities this past week (during my 5th week). The baby is tiny and well protected. I have no doubt in my mind that what I did did not hurt my baby, and I feel confident saying that tir waterside adventure didn't hurt yours either. :)

  • One of my co-workers found out she was 8 weeks pregnant after sky jumping. Try and think positive; I am confident everything will be ok. Call your doctor if you have any doubts or worry. They might be able to give you some peace of mind.
  • Thank you all for the reassurance! It helps a lot and I feel much better about it!!
