paranoid sorry

for second time moms..... have any of you been in labor and not known??? for example you went to ur OB for weekly appointment and they told u u were in labor??? for some reason it's my biggest fear. I know I sound completely ridiculous. but I can't help but wonder if this is something that happens often..? my moms best friend didn't know she was in labor and by the time she got to the hospital she was crowning in the ER waiting room :-S I'm paranoid.

    No, I was very certain of it the 2nd and 3rd time around. You might be unsure of it in the beginning stages but I think once active labor starts, you'll know. Trust your gut.

    I have to say, that sounds pretty friggin amazing actually...I couldn't think of a better outcome than to avoid all the pain of labour!!

    thank u for reassuring me I'm probably being just paranoid but I don't want to have a baby in the car lol. and yea @kettlekitten she told my mom it didn't even hurt-- and she obviously had it med free because it happened so fast :-O

    I didn't know I was in labor with my second but it wasn't because I didn't feel any contractions or pain. I just had lots of contrax towards the end with him. Those last several days I contracted all day every day and they would always stop...sometimed after 12 hours! But I knew eventually I would have pain that I couldn't deny, and would KNOW it was time to go in. I did - and less than two hours later he was born without any medication.
