For the last couple weeks my son has been pooping through his diaper, every single morning. At first I thought it was because the diapers were to small, so I upgraded him to size two. This only stopped the blowouts during the day. Even with a brand new clean diaper, he's blowing out every single morning. So either the diapers are too small to hold the poop and he blows out up his back, or they're big enough but he's got li'l chicken legs so it blows out by his legs. Losin' my mind here. Pretty sure the reason why he only blows out in the mornings is that for what ever reason, he doesn't poop during the night so it builds up- though he does pee. Not that there is anything I can do about that. We primarily use Huggies. Any suggestions?
Re: Poop, poop everywhere!
That sounds like s lot of poop! My son goes once a day if we are lucky!
What kind of Huggies do you use? We can't use the snugglers because the legs are too wide, but the other kind of Huggies work well for us. I also like Pampers too!
As for the size - I moved DS up to size 2 pampers and bought 2 types accidentally. The baby dry fit WAY smaller around his hips than the snugglers. So you might notice a difference in size based on type of diaper and not just brand.
The mattress in LO's basket is very impressionable and we had that problem with poop and pee then i changed the matress position and all was good
That being said, LO hasn't gone in 2 days, please join me in praying for a poopy diaper tomorrow
I don't think his pooping out his to do with how he is sleeping, since I vary where he sleeps in the crib and that some of his blowouts he's been held.
Washing can be an issue especially if it's not your own machine, so I totally understand your concern, plus there is definitely a commitment to planning for it and staying on top of washing them versus just tossing a disposable away, so I get that it doesn't work for anyone, just wanted to throw it out there as a possible solution (the way my hubby put it was that poop was going in the washing machine no matter what- either on our clothes, sheets, blankets, etc when she had a blow out or on diapers, lol, the glamorous life of motherhood)
