Hi Ladies! So happy that so many of you were interested in a twice weekly checkin. I figured I would list possible prompts but feel free to discuss whatever you want. For example, if you just want to list your work out plans instead of meal plan.

  • Workout plan: Mon.- spin class, Tues. Body Sculpting, Wed. off, Thurs. Body sculpting, Friday. Spin class

    Meal plan: Not sure what days but on the menu this week is:
    Homemade pizza with salad
    Grilled chicken, corn, and potatoes
    Lemon pepper marinaded shrimp, rice, and asparagus 

    That's all I got for now. Lunches will be salads, chia cups, yogurt, and leftovers. 

    Something for you: I'm sure we all deal with stress, anxiety, depression and whatever else at times! What will you do this week to help you emotionally or mentally?  This week I'm pretty nervous about the pregnancy. I am going to try to unwind each night by reading. That usually helps me but I haven't read a book in ages! I also want to see if I can get out for a pedicure. 

    Rants/ Raves/ Questions: I've been potty training so I haven't been to the gym for a week! Hopefully tomorrow I will get back on track now that DS is doing better. He usually goes to the Y childcare so hopefully he will be ok there using their potty. 

    GTKY: Where do you buy workout clothes? Usually I buy them at Marshalls, Old Navy, or Dicks. When I want to splurge I go to Lululemon.

    Workout plan: Sun - 6 mile interval run, Mon - off day, Tues - barre class, Wed - 30min interval run, hills and strength exercises, Thurs - ?? T25 DVD maybe? barre maybe?, Fri - 40-50 min interval run, Sat - Baby Boot Camp (Usually boot camp is Tues and Thurs too, but our instructor is away.)

    Meal plan: M: Caprese sandwiches with salad, T: honey lime shrimp tacos with margarita slaw, W: puttanesca, TH: black bean quesadillas, F: homemade grilled pizza

    Something for you: I'm sure we all deal with stress, anxiety, depression and whatever else at times! What will you do this week to help you emotionally or mentally? Run! Or veg out and watch TV for a bit, or vent to my hubs/besties

    GTKY: Where do you buy workout clothes? Most of my shirts are Baby Boot Camp shirts, my pants and shorts are from wherever I find them on sale! Although I do LOVE my fleece lined Under Armour running tights.

  • Sunday Check in Week 1:
    Hello everyone. I hope your week went well and everyone is feeling well!

    Goals:
    -Grocery Shopping Sunday's will continue to be my goal do that I have everything I need for the week to eat and snack healthy. This is what I did for weight loss/management and this helped a lot so I didn't stray from my goals and I believe will help for a healthy pregnancy.
    -Adjusted 3x this week (I work at a chiropractic office so this helps my bodies needed frequency!)
    -wake up at 5am for my workouts
    -get a book to read (anyone have one they love??!)

    My breakfasts have either been 1 whole cage free egg and 3 egg whites over mashed or sliced avocado with 1 cup of berries -or- a protein shake with Dynamic Greens + side of fruit

    Meal plan for dinners(I have a lot of these recipes on my Pinterest page):
    Monday: Mexican Meatza + Salad
    Tuesday: Greek Stuffed Chicken + Salad + Sweet Potato
    Wednesday: Cauliflowr Shepards Pie + Salad
    Thursday: Pizza and Salad (having best man and MOH over to announce )
    Friday: Green Olive Stuffed Cheese Burgers w/rutabaga fries + Salad
    Saturday: Baked Ham + Sweet potato + Salad

    My snacks:
    -mixed nuts(pecans, cashews, walnuts, almonds), large unsweetened coconut flakes, raw sunflower seeds + chia seeds mixed with cinnamon and sea salt
    -Larabar(pecan pie, cashew cookie, apple pie)
    -Spinach avocado dip w/raw veggies(carrots, broccoli, cucumbers, cauliflower)
    -Sliced hard cheese/cheese stick
    -2 hard boiled eggs
    -plain Greek yogurt with chia seeds and liquid mixed berry stevia
    -chia seed pudding w/blueberries
    -protein shake w/ Dynamic Greens
    -Banana or Granny Smith Apple
    -Salad

    Workouts:
    Walk 1-2 miles daily
    3x a week weights
    2x a week yoga video
    Stretch off days

    really not sure what core exercises I can do without concern. I have a stability ball but it's a purchase since the news. any suggestions there. exercise isn't my forte so just trying to keep moving.

    Rant: Really fatigued! pushing through it and napping a lot. my garden is really suffering!

    Something for you: weekend away with the in-laws for some water and boat time away from work and clients.

    GTKY: Target and TJ Maxx are my go to places for a budget and good deal!

    Love this group! can't wait to read everyone's plans! if anyone wants a recipe let me know! I don't do processed foods unless it's a splurge and stick to low glycemic for overall health.

    Workout plan: I plan to hit up AM CrossFit classes Monday-Saturday on my last full week of summer! 

    Meal plan: No plan yet...my general plan is to watch what I eat 6 days a week than eat what I want (within reason) once a week. 

    Something for you: I'm sure we all deal with stress, anxiety, depression and whatever else at times! What will you do this week to help you emotionally or mentally?  Honestly with it being summer it's not that hard, we've just been relaxing anyway. I have a lot of nerves about these early weeks, and as a Christian, prayer is really what is helping me the most. DH and I are both praying for the LO, and we spoke with one of our pastors today who is also praying. 

    Rants/ Raves/ Questions: I wish macaroni and cheese didn't have calories...and carbs...and more fat than I need...(I craved it with DD and while I'm not really craving it right now I just want it...I found a recipe for fancy gnocchi crab mac and cheese made with gruyere and havarati cheeses...waaaaaaant)
     
    GTKY: Where do you buy workout clothes? Pants I mostly get from Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. Shirts I either wear old t-shirts from college or I but ranks off etsy with fun lifting sayings (fav says "Lift like a beast, Look like a beauty")

    Workout plan: I am actually on my last week of the 21 day fix...didn't plan on being pregnant for it, hah! 

    Meal plan: Grilled chicken salad, chicken tacos, salmon, veggie burgers and....I'll think about the end of the week later. I actually love protein shakes for breakfast,yum! 

    Something for you: I'm sure we all deal with stress, anxiety, depression and whatever else at times! What will you do this week to help you emotionally or mentally? Tomorrow I actually go in for bloodwork, I know it's not really something for me, but it will put my mind at ease after our miscarriage earlier this year. 

     Rants/ Raves/ Questions: While the 21 day fix has been great, I am looking forward to not feeling "guilty" if I want to eat two pieces of cheese in a day or have normal dressing on my salads, things like that. 

    GTKY: Where do you buy workout clothes? Ross and Marshalls tend to be really good, or Road Runner but I haven't bought anything new in a while!
  • My trainer just emailed us this if anyone else wants to try it! 

    "Monday-Friday for the month of August, your daily task is to 1) drink 64 oz water; 2) run/walk a mile; 3) perform 50 reps of any exercise (can't choose the same exercise twice in the same week); and 4) plank for 2:00 throughout the day (may be broken up)."

  • @jldegrasse I'd love the Mexican Meatza recipe! I'm impressed by how detailed your meal plan and snacks are! I need to do better with planning. It really helps!

    Workout plan: 3x a week. Haven't decided how I am going to divide everything up yet but I do not I will do cardio 3x a week.

    Meal plan:
    Breakfast: Salad with baked chicken
    Lunch: leftover from dinner
    Dinner: lamb chops with green beans, Italian sausage and sweet potatoes, salmon with pesto and hard goat cheese, turkey cutlets with orzo and snap peas (that's all I have planned out so far)
    Snacks: fruit, popcorn, apples with almond butter

    @orangegoggles Here is the link for the recipe. Pretty much anything you'd put on a pizza or taco can go on it and we change it all the time. guests love it and my SO makes his side while I choose my side toppings

  • @KDHB13 I can't remember what I wore working out with DD but I do remember that by the and NONE of my normal workout pants felt remotely comfortable. I searched and searched last time for an affordable over belly thick workout pants to no avail. BUT this time I (think) I have, though haven't bought them yet. They're $30 (so more than I normally spend on workout pants) from Target and got great reviews! I'm watching them and will but when they are either on sale or I just need them.

  • Workout plan:  I'm keeping up with my pre-pregnancy workout plan, just lower the intensity as needed, until my body tells me to change it.
    So: Today, I did cardio and abs.
    Tuesday: Strength/Cardio class
    Wednesday: Light Cardio
    Thursday: Strength
    Friday: Cycle class
    Saturday: PiYo
    Sunday: Strength

    Meal plan:  I'm so slacking on this today!  I do have dinner planned for tonight, pork tenderloin with veggies and homemade wheat bread, but for the rest of the week - not sure yet!

    This one is a big one for me!  I think I'm going to try taking gentle yoga classes a few times this week to see if it helps.  I'm an anxious person by nature so my pregnancy has really increase it.  We are not telling anyone yet, so I lean on my hubby, but I do miss having someone who's been through this lend an ear!

    Rants/ Raves/ Questions:  Man those little things my hubby does that usually annoy me are REALLY getting to me now!  Trying not to make a big deal out it can be so hard!!

    GTKY: Where do you buy workout clothes?   I love Athleta, but they are pricey so I don't get too much from them.  I also buy Old Navy, Gap, Target (champion brand) and things at Dick's Sporting Goods (when they are on sale).
  • Thanks!! Last time around, it was summer, so my shorts still fit pretty comfortably and I had one pair of workout pants with a rolled waistband that I could roll up and over the bump which worked well. Last pregnancy I wasn't really working out that much (just walking around the neighborhood), but this time I'm gonna keep up with my regular workouts til the end so I definitely need something!

    Workout plan: Monday and Wednesday: Circuit weights and elliptical
    Tuesday: Zumba
    Thursday: off
    Friday: Jog or walk
    Saturday or Sunday: Jog or walk
    Yoga Everyday!!

    Meal plan: Oatmeal with jam for breakfasts
    Banana and yogurt for lunches
    Cheese and crackers for snacks
    Homemade healthy dinners

    I'm going to try to do yoga and meditate every day.

  • yLate to this as well, but I would love some accountability.

    Work out plans - I have a fairly physical job with long (12 hour days) Tues - Thurs so I am gonna try to work out Mon and Friday, and at least one weekend day.  I got a new pregnancy dvd that I have been trying out some, also jogging when the weather is not too hot. 

    Meal plans - taco pasta, grilled chicken w corn and salad, chicken tortilla soup, pizza or pasta, ribs, potluck style party Sat, not sure Sunday yet.  Goal is to stick with planning weekly meals and getting everything on Monday when I shop.  Snacking on fruit/veggie mostly, lunches are usually left overs. 

    I haven't bought new work out clothes in forever.

    I am going to try to get enough sleep this week, I have been so tired and feel like there is always soo much to do.  I am also trying to use my planner more to keep organized so that I am less stressed.
