fingerprinting and police registry

in 2nd Trimester

In my old hometown you could bring your kids into and get them fingerprinted and registered and a picture was taken of them and put into some system incase they were kidknapped or worse....

How old do you think you should do that with your child and are you even going to do it?

    I'm thinking about doing it next year for DS b/c he will be going to school.
    I just hate thinking about the bad stuff like that though!

    my mom did that with me when i started preschool. i think i will do the same.

    I remember doing that in preschool. We all took a field trip to the police station and got our fingerprints and photos taken. I'd do it when my kid starts preschool if they don't do it themselves.

    I'm totally going to do it as soon as I can.  I work with elementary aged kids and I worry about them all the time.  Our school supports the ID program and I think had the pics taken in our school last year.

    I think alot of the schools around here do it. I know when I was little they did and my little sister goes to the same school and they did it with her as well. I think it was in K5 they made little kits and cards and everything.
