Weaning

Is anyone else weaning? Looking for tips or just how you did it it are doing it. Thanks.

Depends on age and circumstances. I did BLW (you can google it) starting 6 mos. DD weaned herself at 16 mos, I am weaning my DS at 20 mos. What particular issues are you concerned about? Since it was later my supply was diminished so I didn't have physical issues. And the experience was different based on my kids' personalities and circumstances (DD had a paci, DS has me).

He's almost 6 months. My supply is still very -shall we say "healthy"! So I'm trying to wean slowly by just going an hour or two longer between pumping sessions. I've had early stages of mastitis once when I first started and really don't want that to happen again. I pump about 4-8 ounces each session (more in the morning).

So with a high supply and weaning - hopefully someone else will chime in. I understand your concern; I had blocked ducts twice (away from LOs on business trips) and I found that to be scary (and painful). Wishing a healthy transition for you and LO.
