We have been going back and forth on a couple of them. My husband is super religious (he has his minister license) and he said that God told him he would have a girl in a dream one day and this was right before we got pregnant. The girl's name in the dream was Austilynn. I'm not sure I like it though

  • We are always thinking of names haha! We have no boy names but my DH is stuck on Avery for a girl. Working at a children's hospital I see atleast 1 child named Avery everyday!!
  • Ugh, it will be so hard to name this one, I don't even want to think about it yet.  My kids are Dane Martin and Tessa Nicole.

  • We start thinking about names way before I even get pregnant, we don't agree at all so it's very difficult. Right now our top boy contenders are August and Desmond, in a year of discussing those are the only 2 we've agreed on! If it's a girl who knows. We have 2 boys, Jameson Rivers and Henry Boone. Since our other 2 have very original middle names I want to keep that theme going, I really like Maverick for a MN.
  • We have had a list of names "forever"...since before our first, who is named Corban. Vivian was our pick if we were going to have a girl so it's our front runner for a girl this time and for a boy we really like Nolan.

No names picked out and we briefly have discussed it in the means of Dh making fun of horrible names.
For our first we settled *I think* on a boy name quickly. And ou girl list was a mile long. Even though we knew we were having a girl she came into the world nameless and remained that way for about 12 hours. We hate making decisions. We finally agreed with chelsea grace. I was pulling for braelyn grace.
I presume we will have a list with us at the hospital again this time
  • My DH was texting names to me this morning! I love this thread because it's giving me great ideas :)

Our DD is Annalee Rose, which is a combo of our parents middle names of Ann, Lee, and Rose.

This time for a girl we're thinking about Amelia Elizabeth, McKinley Elizabeth, or Lucy Elizabeth.

Boys so far are Wyatt James, Connor James, Emerson James.

Our DD was going to be Lillian up until the 8th month soo....... yeah. :)

  • Well, we have the middle names set. All of the oldest daughters in my family have had the middle name Summer for generations, so we're going to keep that going if it's a girl. If it's a boy we're going with Frederick after my grandfather.

DH is French Canadian and Panamanian, so he really wants French first names, but I'm worried about them being mispronounced in the U.S. So far girls we have Sonia or Aveline. Boys: Javert.

  • Boys name is Thomas Boyce (my dads name and my husbands middle name).

Girls name is Charli Nicole (husband is Charles and my middle name) or Madden Marie (DHs moms maiden name and my moms middle name)

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

  • @medforthesoul My DS's name is on your list! I have a few girl names in mind for this one if we have a girl, but I'm having a really hard time thinking of potential boy names.

  • We've been talking about baby names since we were dating, lol....

For girls we love Julia, Aubrey, or Amelia (Middle name will be Elizabeth after my Grandmother).

For boys we love Ryan, Brandon, Brady, and Patrick (Middle name will probably be John or Thomas).

We've been talking about baby names long before we decided to start trying. Girl names were easy: either Eva or Cora. Boy names have been hard. What I like, DH doesn't like, and what he likes, I don't like. So we came up with Quinn for a boy. Its not my favorite, but it's grown on me. We haven't come up with any middle names. I suggested the other day we should name middles names after our favorite places we've traveled to.....but I don't think Eva Brisbane works...or Quinn Edinburgh, haha! (Actually I'm not gonna lie, Eva Brisbane sounds neat! Husband would never go for it though).
  • Eva Brisbane sounds like a superhero! That's awesome! Our DS's first name is after a character in one of my favorite books and his middle name is from one of his daddy's favorite musician.

  • We didn't decide on a name for our son until a few days before he was born. I think girl names are so do easy, but man, those boy names. If we have a girl though, we were thinking Elizabeth "Betsy" as a first name. My husband's closest cousin is names betsy, and my middle name is Elizabeth after my great grandmother. I love names with a lot meaning :)
  • I have only thought of boys names because my intuition tells me I'm having a boy. :) I am already calling my poppy seed "Baby Luca". Lol. Other contenders are Gabriel, Marco and Liam. For girls names, my fave is Bianca.
  • I think we will try to stick with a gender neutral name again since we don't plan to find out baby's gender ahead of time. We did this with our daughter too :) originally we considered Dylan, so we may put that back on our list
    <image>
  • I like Julia for a girl and Luke for a boy, but H and I can't seem to agree.
  • We've had the boys name picked out for awhile, DH's dad actually came up with it way before we ever started trying. For a boy it would be Owen Thomas (OT for short). For a girl we've been talking about Grace Madelyn or Madelyn Grace, not sure what we like better yet
  • My husband is really pulling for Isaiah Edward for a boy, but I'm not 100% sold on Isaiah. Edward will be the boy's middle name regardless. For a girl, we can't come up with anything! I like Claire or Meredith, but he hates both of them. We have two girls already, so finding a girl's name we both really like is almost impossible! :)

  • Thinking for a girls name calling her Elena Rae and for a boy it'll be Wesley with either my husbands middle name Edward or his grandpas Allen. Our first one was so easy we both loved the name Jace and so that's what we went with :) love all the name ideas so far!
  • Jericho for a boy or Genevieve for a girl :)
  • DD is Lillian (Lily) Kay. She's the 4th gen of Kay middle name in my family.

My husband is all about a flower theme of we have another girl, so he's voting Daisy or Rose. I haven't decided if I think it's cute or too cheesy yet

  • We still aren't sure ... I like Nolan for a boy and Clara or Addison (Addy) for a girl
  • We just finished a 4 hour car ride (stupid summer Saturday traffic!!!) and ended up spending most of it discussing names. We had talked about names in the past so we've had some ideas, but I think we've narrowed it down to a "front runner" for each and a couple others we really like. We've only known for a short time but we both are already calling it "he"...so who knows!

For right now, the frontrunner for a boy is Nathaniel Colton, and for a girl, Isabella Quinn.
  • Jericho for a boy or Genevieve for a girl :)
  • @ShamrockGirl518 I really love your names! So classic.
  • I love Clara, but my SIL just used it!
