Hi all,
I am the mommy of an amazing 4-year old boy, and DH and I have been trying (well... more accurately, TRYING to try) for about a year now for number 2. Our main obstacle, as far as I know, is his E.D. That said, we went for our initial consultation with the fertility specialist on Tuesday this week, and my blood test results revealed that although most of my numbers look really good for a woman my age (42) I may have some thyroid issues. More blood tests when my next cycle starts in mid-August. He's going for sperm analysis and blood tests too, and I have to do an HSG (Yikes!). If all systems are a go, we are hopefully looking at our first IUI in September. If I have to go on thyroid meds and/or if he has sperm count or morphology issues, we may need to wait till October. I turn 43 in November, so I'm sort of freaking out about how long everything is taking! But also grateful that we've finally taken control of this and took that first step of seeing a specialist.
Hoping for a sibling for our son in 2016! And he told me "I want a sistew AND a bwuddah!" Don't push it, kiddo. 
Going through many of the posts on this board and feeling so inspired by your courage, your stories, your hardships and your positivity. Am looking forward to being a part of this lovely community as I begin my own journey...
