AUGUST!!

I woke up, looked at my phone and saw AUG 1 (at least on my side of the international date line, it is). AARRGGH. I'm having a baby this month!! The 20th is my due date, but I suspect I won't make it that far...

I'm sure a few of you will be dropping off the radar in the coming weeks so I wanted to say a big **thank you** for your company over the last couple of months. I accidentally fell into the bump community after installing the app to track my number of weeks as I kept forgetting, and then noticing there was a discussion forum...

I've found you all to be interesting, helpful and informative and I have gotten a great dose of perspective reading about some of the problems and genuine dramas some of you have faced in your pregnancies and lives in general. Ive tried to offer help and support where I can but I do lose track of all the threads! I've also learnt a lot more than I thought possible from an Internet forum about pregnancy and birth.

Just wanted to wish all of you the best, here's hoping for the rest of your pregnancies to be problem free, and for a smooth delivery for everyone

(Also - if anyone has found a good baby/toddler parenting board I would love to know about it. Didn't use one last time due to information overload so I have no idea what's out there

Awe yayy!! Not quite August here on my side. But t- minus 3 hours until! My original due date was August 20th but with light health concerns I may be induced at 39 weeks! Good luck and Yay for our babies birth month! ;;)

Not August here yet either, but almost!!! Good luck to you too! Hopefully some people stick around for the newborn phase.. I know as a FTM it will be nice to keep the community going for support and whatnot.

OMG this realization hit me this morning too - August 1st is tomorrow!! That is scary shit to me. I was like, "OMG, now I don't even need to look at how many weeks left and do the math in my head, I can just say, 'okay, due the 19th, today is "x" so 19-x = TOO SOON" I have been having mixed emotions as I have been seeing some of the regulars post their birth announcements - I am so happy for everyone and so excited we are finally getting to meet our little ones, but I do get sad thinking about our board not being as active

. All of you August ladies have definitely helped me through these 9 months. I was not nearly as active with my last BMB and this BMB has made me regret that! You are all awesome and I hope our board stays active even after our LO's arrive (even though I know it won't be AS active)!

Do come back and visit with us! I only became really active in the last month or so... I have to admit I didn't want the hard work of weeding out the crazies. We have a really great group of moms here and I agree as a FTM you'll need more support than ever once the baby is born. We'll have "who's up?" Posts going all night long and we can commiserate with each other about how the daddies can sleep through anything including a crying baby

My previous BMB didn't die out until well after babies were one. I'm sure the regs will still be around which is what I'm looking forward too!

I'm a July mama and you're gonna have to pry this BMB out of my hands! What else am I supposed to use to keep my sanity when my child is screaming at me in the middle of the night?

There's always a slight lull right after the babies are born but things do pick back up. I still keep in contact with ladies from my last BMB. I actually received a beautiful necklace in the mail from them just yesterday as an early baby gift.

I'm due Aug 20th too! But, I plan to stick around well after baby is born to absorb the well-spring of knowledge that you ladies will provide through to toddler-hood.

Well dang it. No full moon contractions here. Not a one sooo no Ruby birthstone lol. I agree the board won't die until maternity leave it over at least!! I will be around forever like the stray cat at your back door

Today is my initail due date. TODAY! This is very surreal to me. DH doesn't get it, he's like "no, your due the 6th, still got 5 to go". When I found out I was pregnant and called my doc to set things up, this is that date they gave me. My early ultrasound changed that date, I get that. But this is still a big day for me! I can't beleive that this is all going to happen in the next few weeks (preferably the sooner the better if these hormones are going to keep giving me migraines)!

I've only just joined the bump but am due in 23 days on the 24th. So exciting. Already had one scare. As a ftm I'm very excited and want her here already however I have had a couple of panics that after this month nothing will ever be the same again. Of course it will be worth it though

@crazyfazzy I'm in exactly the same boat!! I'm excited that it is finally August, and really hoping that LO gets the memo and doesn't "overstay her welcome" in my whom. Aug 31st still feels like it is a ways off.

Fifteen days!!! Holy crap! I started singing to DH this morning " it's the final count down" and it really is! Also, I'll be on the boards even after baby is born. I mean, what else would I do to avoid cleaning?!?!
