Urination in newborn

My son is 5 days old today and has been pooping just great. Peeing on the other hand, he's not doing the 5 wet diapers. He has peed one very large pee today and he still has that bit of pink concentrated urine popping up in a massive pale yellow urination. My husband doesn't seem worried since he seems hydrated, has nice consistency stools, and has such a large quantity of pee when he goes. Should I be concerned?

    I was told at the hospital that the 5 wet diapers things refers to both pee and poop- so as long as there's 5 no matter what it is it's okay...how often are you changing him? Would it be more if you changed him more often or is he just going a ton at once?

    Oh really? Well then he's doing that all right! He goes a ton at once.
