Hello! I'm just wondering how many ounces everyone is able to get out of each side and how many times a day you pump? I am not able to breastfeed and have to exclusively pump.. I get around 3-4 on each side and I do it 4 times a day.
I had my son a week ago yesterday. I only pump. I pump about 8-10 times a day. I get about 7-8 ounces out of each boob every time.
I pretty much get about 15 ounces total every time I pump. But have gotten up to 18 ounces. My fridge is full and now my freezer is full.

Wow!! I'm impressed!! I breastfeed, but I try to pump 2 or 3 times a day. I consider it a win if I get 4 or 5 ounces between the pair!! In the evenings it's closer to 3 ounces total : /
I pumped every time baby fed so 8-12 times a day and only got .5-1 ounce from each side. I couldn't get enough for him to only have breast milk.

Baby Reign was born on Tuesday afternoon...My milk Is just starting to come in this afternoon =D> is it normal for one breast to make more at first? Got some from the right, just drops from the left though
Im impressed with how much you guys are getting. I'm also exclusively pumping and pump every 3 hours and get about 3 ounces total each time. She eats more than that so is getting formula as well.
I alternate pumping and nursing...when I pump I usually get 3-5 oz total. Right boob always gives more than left despite my best efforts to increase left production by always feeding him longer on that one.
I still only get an oz or less between both breasts, pumping every three hours I'm 9 days postpartum and I'm starting to think maybe I just won't ever get enough milk. I'm really upset about it!
I pump about four times a day. Depending on the time of day I pump I get more or less. For instance, early morning feedings and late nights seem to have the most production for me. It is not an even amount of milk. The right breast has more supply so I am able to get at least 3-4oz. The left breast I can get about 1-2oz. Baby is three weeks old and is eating between 4 and 5 ounces every feeding.
Kudos to you moms able to pump so much milk in one sitting, that's awesome!

Wow @asun123 I am impressed. I've been pumping exclusively every 2-3 hours for the past 4 days (delivered Friday 7/24 and was breastfeeding exclusively until Wed 7/29). I get 2-3 oz each 15 min session using the Ameda Purely Yours double electric pump my insurance sent me. My goal is to have a stash of at least a days worth of feeding... But pumping right now and have 2.5 oz in the fridge
My son will be four weeks on Tuesday and I've exclusively pumped since birth. Every 3 hours during day and at night 4-6 hour stretches. I get about 10 ounces total each time. I have a deep freezer full!

@mirrenrue did you start out pumping that much or did the amount increase over time? I would love to be able to pump every 3 hours or 4-6. I'm doing it every 2 hours right now. My son is 9 days old. Breastfed for the first 5 days and started pumping exclusively the last 4. I get 2-3 oz per session.

After having my first son, after I finished pumping completely, I still leaked breast milk for 2 years.

I had this problem. My baby is four weeks old today. I tried to breastfeed, but she never latched so I was pumping what I could to give her breastmilk. There were some times where I would pump and I would get nothing. I saw a lactation consultant twice, took recommeneded herbs, watched videos, etc. and the most I ever pumped at one time was 2 ounces.
I have felt a little like a failure and have felt guilty about not being able to give my daughter what she needs. But, I am moving on. I have tried for four weeks, and I just can't seem to produce. So, I am going to focus on the things I CAN do for my daughter and go from there. I'm not going to lie ... I still have some pangs of guilt, and part of me is tempted to pick up the pump and have at it right now ... but I think it's time to forgive myself and move on.
BTW, kudos to all you breastfeeding and pumping moms!
I'm pumping exclusively too my baby girl is tongue tied and can't latch on to me.. I get 6 or more oz on each side every 2 to 3 hours. She drinks 3 to 8oz every 1 to 3 hours. My Dr said to pump every time she eats.. It becomes time consuming but I have lots of extra frozen now!
