3rd U/S on Friday and nervous

Hi all, We have had the craziest week and a half. I got a positive test last Monday and was sent for an u/s due to pain that I was having. The u/s came back with little signs of pregnancy and they were thinking it might be ectopic and ordered bloodwork to check HCG levels. My HCG levels more than doubled in a 48 hour period so they said I probably didn't have an ectopic and ordered another u/s on Tuesday of this week. That u/s came back with a gestational sac but no yolk sac or fetal pole. The doc called concerned because my levels were over 10000 at the last blood test so she said we should be seeing something. She scheduled another u/s for Friday morning. I am really worried that it won't be enough time to see any changes! She mentioned ordering a scope if it doesn't go well. Anyone else have high HCG levels already? Prayers for Friday!

    I'm guessing you're somewhere around 4-5 weeks since you're here in the April group :)
    Your hcg level is high for that gestational age so ectopic should be considered. However, it did double which is more reassuring since with ectopics the hcg is high but generally (not always) stay the same or increases just a tad in 48 hrs.
    Fingers crossed for an awesome ultrasound on Friday.

    Good news: there was a yolk sac and fetal pole! Yay!

    They are still monitoring me in case it is a molar pregnancy, but they are hopeful!

    Due date: March 27. Hesitant to move to the March group though because I am so close to April!

    With my ectopic, HCG increased, but not as fast as it should have been increasing. They can be really hard to diagnose- mine wasn't actually identified until I went in for surgery.

    Hoping it isn't anything to worry about!
