Do we need a snack tray and/or bumper bar?

DH and I decided to go with the Baby Jogger City Versa for our stroller.  It's actually been discontinued, but is being sold at a great price on Amazon.  Because it's been discontinued we want to get all the accessories we might want now in case we aren't able to find them later.  Both a bumper bar and a snack tray are optional accessories so we're wondering if they're "must-haves" or if we should skip them.  What does everyone think?  Do we need one or the other or both?

    I don't know about the bumper bar (not too clear on what that is). As far as the snack tray, I would call it more a convenience than a must-have. It can been nice as they get bigger to be ale to give them snacks in it and keep going. The decision will ultimately come down to personal use/preference.

    This is the bumper bar.  It's just the bar that goes across their belly.

    @AJo32 Hmm... my thought on the bumper bar is that from my experience with my son it wouldn't be needed. On the other hand, my mom talked about me leaning forward in strollers and sticking fingers in the wheels, seems like it could help prevent that.

    Have you read reviews? I've been looking at car seats and finding some reviews very helpful.

    I thought this thread was going to be a snack bar - or gifs of it at least.

    Oh well...we have the Citi Mini GT. We don't have a bumper bar and never needed one. We did get a snack tray but I keep forgetting to add it on. So obviously more of a nice to have. I do have friends that swear by it though so if you were going to get one then just get that. 

    And now I need a snack.

    I think having something there to keep them trapped in more is always helpful! My DD likes to lean forward, squirm around, do yoga, what have you in her stroller.

    No bumper bar; yes to snack tray. It's for when they get older. My DD is almost two. It's nice to have so you can put snacks and their water cup there so they can reach it when they want when they are able to feed themselves.

    We didn't get the snack tray but I would get it - now that DS is old enough to feed himself it would be convenient as opposed to having to hand him goldfish every 5 seconds since he refuses to eat out of those snack cups.

    I have the City Mini with the snack tray and I love it. It really makes snacking/eating on the go easier. I would call it a must have.

    I never understood the point of the bumper bar. It seems totally unnecessary. What does it do?? I say skip it.

    I just got a second hand valco stroller with a bumper bar. I actually really like it! The boys put their feet up on it Nd it keeps my toddler from leaning too far forward when he escapes from the arm straps.
