How many cervixs are you claiming you have ?
This, exactly.  You only have one cervix, so where is the "they" coming from?
  • How does one check her own cervix? I thought ob used the annoying sonogram that goes inside of you to do that.
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • Maybe she means that her vagina was looser not her cervix? That's the only way I can interpret her post to make any sense.
  • When you are pregnant, your cervix is soft and moves up higher. This is normal. I think that's what you were trying to convey.

That's what I thought, too.  But even so, you also only have one vagina, so why are plurals being used?

Wow, I thought this app was created for support. Some of you should really put yourself in her shoes before you judge and literally laugh in her face. Right terminology or not, your just being mean. I hope you're able to contact your ob and get some answers. Good luck.

  • You might have to clarify what dance you were doing.

You don't know what the baby dance is? Do you live under a rock? I suppose I'll take it upon myself to explain:

The 'baby dance' is a fairly new method of creating a baby. A couple puts on music of their choice (But I've heard, on multiple occasions, that Kevin Lyttle's 'turn me on' really does the trick.) They then proceed to dance in a ritualistic way (see also: rain dance) and voila, conception occurs. The penis does not enter the vagina, no sperm or eggs are needed.

I hope that clears things up for you, Brooklyn.

My doctor couldn't even find my cervix at my last physical. I'm a bit confused with this entire problem. I'm thinking you must mean your vaginal walls because that is probably why he thought you felt "open." ... Either way I'm confused with your question.
  • I'm not trying to sound judgmental at all, but if you are 24 weeks pregnant and you think your cervix is "acting strange," you should be running to the doctor asap because having an incompetent cervix is one of the main causes of 2nd trimester pregnancy loss. Having said that, as others have noted, I doubt there is any way you are able to evaluate the state of your own cervix.

Ugh here we go again. This is not a support group. Go somewhere else to sing kumbaya.

  • First off not newbie, second account. First one I closed after my 3rd miscarriage. Also it says it in the TOU. People post very unclear questions and when people call it out people cry support. This is an Internet discussion form.
  • I'm also confused as to why this upsets you. It's the exact samething as people saying "use the search function" it is informing users of how to use the board and what it is for.
  • Ah! My apologies! Tone is so hard to read on here @BrooklynBroussard
  • @BrooklynBroussard haha! I can't GIF at work or I would totally "gif love you" back!!
