    This weekend is the pow wow and I'm only bringing my LO for an hour or so -just enough time to see family - then sending her back home by grandma. It's dusty, hot, and everyone smokes and I don't want her around that. My cousins have babies even younger than mine and they'll have their LO's there all day everyday and I know I'm going to be judged as being overly worried, but I don't care. They also let their kids stay up late, eat/drink all kinds of sugar at ten at night, and that will not be happening with my child! I usually love pow wows, but am dreading it this year.

    After driving or I should say sitting in traffic for 2 hours and listening to LO screaming the whole time and then having to listen to her yet again scream in the carriage while trying to take a nice walk the next day....i kiddingly said to my mother that I was going to put her in the wagon and leave her in the church (we walked by the church and it happened to have a wagon on the lawn). She was all upset by this comment...come on she would be in a happy place right?!?! Kidding Mom!!!

    I really don't give a crap about teaching this year. It's so irritating that they called me 3 weeks after lo was born to tell me and expect me to go to all these summer meetings!! Unless I can bring lo, no way!!

    I'm not excited to go back either. I usually look forward to it but now I'm dreading it. And back to school night is the night of an inservice day so I'll be away from DD for about 12 hours, and I still haven't found a sitter for that night (they're all teachers or parents that have to attend). Ugh!!
