Any frank breech August babies??

Anyone got a stubborn frank breech baby? I'm 38.5 weeks baby girl is staying put with her head at one rib cage butt in my pelvis and her feet at my other rib cage! C section scheduled for Monday!

I read some things that freaked me out saying that breeched babies could be caused by some birth defects? Anyone hear this? My doc isn't concerned at all but I'm starting to freak out a little! 4 days till I meet baby girl.

  • My nephew was breeches this way. He is absolutely perfect. Don't believe everything you read!

  • I'm having a c section on Monday due to a frank breech baby too! I've tried to stay away from Google when it comes to why she might be breech. My doc isn't concerned at all and thinks it's most likely because of my anterior placenta. Good luck!!!:)
  • My daughter was footling breech. Turned out she was wrapped in her cord and couldn't rotate (I had an anterior placenta also). She is an absolutely amazing, perfect little 2 year old. There are a million reasons why your baby could be breech that mean nothing, so try and ignore the rare possibilities that could indicate something bad.
  • I was a frank breech baby born vaginally. No birth defects or complications here.
  • Ask your doctor about turning the baby. I'm 37+5 and had it done today. It doesn't hurt to ask/try!

(I'll warn you the procedure does hurt, but it's worth it if you have a successful turning.)
  • Thanks ladies I know google is the devil and my mind goes crazy. I did try the ECV procedure it was horrible!!!! I think she's just comfy where she's at. I just can't wait to see her pretty little face so I know she is perfect ♡
  • 37+6 here and little girl is still Frank breech. My OB won't try ECV due to the umbilical cord placement. They also won't allow breech babies to be born vaginally at my hospital so I'm scheduled for a c section Aug. 12. A little disappointed, but if that's what is best for my daughter, it is what it is...

My first was flipping constantly! He was breech at week 37, then he turned head down week 39 and I had to wear a belt to keep him in place. Also whenever I had a contraction or BH coming I went on all my fours and stick my butt up, so he can flip back again. I guess all that worked because he flipped back and i delivered vaginally. Second seems to follow brothers foot steps I am almost 37 weeks and he flipped head up! Hoping he will flip back by 39 weeks  like his older brother did. My babies flip around because I have a weirdly big amount of amniotic fluid, which is usually due to Gestational Diabetes, but I passed my tests, so no GD here, just lots of waters, Dr's don't know why, but everything seems fine so hoping for a vaginal delivery again!

  • My little boy was frank breech. He was born four weeks early last monday but hes healthy as can be :)
  • Yup. My boy is currently frank breech, or still was on Tuesday, anyway. I'm 37 weeks and hoping to attempt an ECV next week. I'm also disappointed by the prospect of a c-section, but my boy needs what he needs...
