  I'm weird and have already sent mine out and my shower was only this past Sunday. Usually the latest you should wait is about two to three weeks I think.

  I write mine usually that night and the next day then send them out the day after. I'm fortunate and having 4 showers so I want to get them out as soon as I can.

  I would say somewhere between 1-3 weeks is totally acceptable. If it takes you a little longer, I don't think it is a huge deal, but just might make for some awkward moments when you see people - or at least it would for me (but I'm socially awkward to begin with... ). What is it for wedding thank you's? A month? I can't remember but I imagine something similar is fine.

  I think it was 3-4 weeks. I had to write 100 thank yous!
