My husband's work is having their biannual trip to our local theme park. I was so stoked to go. Then I started thinking.... is it even worth going?
I'm a FTM and so these are the random things that pop up! I tried looking up previous posts. All roller coaster post seemed to relate to the emotional rides!

Editing my post to the Disneyland thread: I went to Disney when I was 6 weeks and my OB said I could ride whatever I wanted. I guess what they worry about is G's of force on the crazier rides separating the placenta. At that point there was no placenta and she was more worried about dehydration. What she told me, which was confirmed by park staff, is that most of the things that say "expectant mothers should not ride" is due to the lap belt or bar pressing on baby and being uncomfortable for mom. So for example if you are 15 weeks when you go and aren't showing much, you would be fine to ride something that was jerky or bumpy because the lap belt wouldn't bother you, baby is cushioned from bumpiness all snuggly in the amniotic fluid, and there is no risk of placental abruption. With crazy rollercoasters that whip hard around corners, or have sudden drops there are those G's of force that create more risk. At least that's how it was explained to me.
