Anyone else having....

Every once in a while I get horrible cramps in my thighs. I literally feel like I can't walk but walking is what gets them out....lasts about a minute or so. They are aweful!

Re: Anyone else having....

  • It can be associated with BH and/-or contractions.... I haven't personally experienced them but I heard that czn happen

  • Leg cramps are totally normal. Try hydrating, eating bananas, and stretching with legs flexed

  • My midwife suggested I take a liquid calcium magnesium supplement to help with cramps. I was getting them really bad for a while. Seems to be helping.
  • I just started to get them today. They actually make my knees buckle. I read online that they are normal and typically happen when baby moves into the pelvic area.
  • Yes!!! And in my butt when I'm asleep. So weird. Coconut water has been my savior. I'm not a fan of the taste but the chocolate kind tastes like yoohoo which is much better (to me). The potassium in it helps you from becoming dehydrated.
    I hope this helps!!!
  • Avocados have more potassium than bananas and so far have been working great to keep away leg cramps. If they are from something else though I have no idea. My daughter was breech and never descended at all. This one is definitely low but far from engaged..
  • I get them in my calves at night so bad I wake up almost crying. I also get milder ones in the sides of my calves when I walk a lot or stand a lot
  • Thanks everyone!
