7/30 mommy successes and wins

pat yourself on the back!! What have you done right lately? Brag away!!!

Re: 7/30 mommy successes and wins

  • I tried to be the bigger person and invited my MIL over for a visit. Alone. When DH wasn't home. She's constantly complaining to everyone that she never sees DS (even though she's seen him about once a week since he was born). Anyway, I invited her over and she came for about an hour on Tuesday. Even though she woke DS up when I specifically said he needed to nap while she held him, I held it together and was a gracious host. And now that I've done this once I'm hoping I can continue to be the bigger person and tolerate regular visits.

  • DD slept in the crib for the first time last night and it went well! I was afraid she would get up a bunch, but she slept like she normally did in the RnP. I'm hoping she continues to do well because o go back to work on Monday.
  • Successfully transitioned LOs from swaddle to sleep sack. Sooooo was not looking forward to it but it went way better than I expected!

Today i pumped my 20th storage bottle for work, that's about enough for 2 weeks maybe a lil less, just need to pump 20 more to feel confident about my storage

You go girl!!! This is my biggest challenge

I've been able to do bedtime routine (complete with bath) alone when DH works late. Lo is sleeping right now in his crib while mama catches up on Netflix
  • I have become a pro at clipping baby nails!! Woohoo! (Cause we all know that sucks haha)
  • @gtellier - any words of advice on baby nails? That is my least favorite thing to do and I am terrible at it.
  • @blairdavis99 this works for me, hopefully it helps! 1.) right clippers. Safety 1st brand- love them! 2.) baby sleeping (after feeding usually) 3.) hand position (this was my trial an error phase). I use my thumb to keep the finger in place, and with my index, I push the skin under her nail back a little (to not clip the cuticles), and clip. (P.s excuse MY nails in the pictures, I need a manicure lol)

Took the dog and the baby (in a stroller) on a 5k walk to the park by myself! My dog is a bit of a nut so this was something we were working up to for a while
