Help!!!

I'm a ftm. I am 38 weeks 4 days. I've been feeling sick like wanting to throw up, I haven't had any morning sickness at all until yesterday. Last night I spent half the night in the bathroom with diaherha. And I've been feeling like my stomach is tightening. And some sharp pain in lower back and abdomen. Should I be concerned? Could This be the beginning of labor? At my last appointment I was 2cm and 50%. Please any advice!

Re: Help!!!

  • My doctor told me to call if I experience any nausea or vomiting. Sounds like your body is prepping for labor, but I'm no doctor.

  • I had this 2 days ago however I only dropped, I would head to l&d and get checked out. Better safe than sorry.
  • Most definitely sounds just like the start up symptoms of labor.. call your doctor just to ask to put your mind at ease! Hang in there and don't overthink!
  • Had anyone else expienced anything like this?
  • Just sounds like your body is prepping for labor , either soon or in a couple weeks. I've been having the same issues on and off since 36 weeks and will be 40 this Sunday so I don't read into anymore. Call your doctor if you're worried or in a lot of pain.

  • Sure I've had stomach issues and abdominal and back pain. Like pp say it could be the start of labor, a stomach virus, or nothing. I'd call and let your doctor know what's going on.

  • Any time you have nausea/diarrhea at the end of pregnancy you should call your doctor. Better to be safe.
  • What about the fact that I feel sick so I can't eat?
  • Sounds like you are pretty concerned about it so that warrants a call to your dr. Just call and let them know!

Another question for your doc. Go ahead and give them a call. That's what they're there for. I'm sure you'll feel better with some medical reassurance.
  • Could go either way. If you are comfortable to wait then put your feet up, drink some water, and see if anything progresses. If you are too concerned for that either call your doctor or head to l&d. No right or wrong choice. GL!
