What to drink??

Hi ladies, I was just looking for some suggestions from you as to what I can drink to break from chugging straight water all the time. I won't drink soda, caffeine is out and I'm not supposed to drink fruit juice as its sugar content is too high. Are there any drinks you would recommend for when water gets a little old? Thanks!

  • I really love True Lemon products! https://www.truelemon.com/true-lemonade

No artificial sweeteners, only Stevia Leaf Extract. They have a variety of flavors to choose from. Really helps perk up my water ;)

  • Sparkling water with fruit essence.  Water with lemon juice.  You can also make your own sports drink - I usually do like 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1/4 cup fruit juice, 2 cups water (ish - I don't really measure, but that's about the balance).

  • Sparkling water has been helping me with my nausea and getting up trapped wind. Oh and it's a tad more exciting than straight water
  • You can infuse your water with things. One of my favorites is kiwi and strawberry. Cucumber is really refreshing too. Sometimes I just do lemons as well. Gives it a little flavor with out ALL the sugar of juice.

Like others, I recommend sparkling water! LaCroix Sparkling Water is really refreshing. They have flavors like grapefruit, berry, lemon-lime, etc. They just have a hint of flavoring so it's not too strong. No calories or any artificial flavors or sweeteners.
  • I love LaCroix! And San Pellegrino makes excellent sparkling juice drinks. They have more fruit juice than LaCroix, but they're nice for a special treat!

This is my favorite thing to do. You can get creative. My favorite is cherries (cut in half and smashed) and lime. I also like raspberry and lemon. The more fruit you squish and add to the water, the less it tastes like water.

My DH and I were drinking so many La Croix that we finally bought a soda stream. I waited for Kohls to have it on sale, then stacked this coupon on top of that code (confusing crap Kohls always plays), so we got it for $45 or so. Best money I ever spent, especially when dealing with morning sickness!

This seriously made me LOL. Don't know why I found it so funny!! =))
  • I've been drinking a lot of fruit juice myself, but I cut it with cold water to dilute it so it's not a huge sugar bomb all at once. Plus, it's too sweet and syrupy right out of the bottle.

  • They so work. I got one but would reccomeb you get something big, like a pitcher to keep in the fridge. Then pour into a cup or bottle when you want it. The bottles tend to be too small and you drink it too fast then can really refill and get the full flavor back. Better to sit overnight.
  • I have been nursing the infuser for weeks now... Can't get enough! First pregnancy the preggo classes I attended had "spa water" - most refreshing water ever. 1/2 orange. 1/2 lemon, 1/2 lime, 1/8 cucumber for a big pitcher. The big pitchers tend to go bad after a day though, but the little ones need to be refilled quite a bit- pick your poison
  • I've been addicted to LaCroix and similar things (sparkling water with a little flavor, no sugar or artificial sweeteners. i usually get the store brand.) for months now. And at home it's the SodaStream. You can buy mixers that make SodaStream water slightly flavored but unsweetened, like LaCroix-- I'm looking into trying that. Or just sparkling water with a small splash or orange or grape fruit juice.  I'll also do things like stick mint leaves in my drink (my garden is overrun with mint)-- makes it feel fancier. During my last pregnancy, Trader Joe's was selling frozen mango puree, and I would stick some of that in with sparkling water and some mint leaves. YUM.
  • Yesterday I rediscovered unsweetened passion tea lemonade from Starbucks.  Holy crap that stuff is amazing.  So we went out and bought Tazo Passion Tea bags - I made a 1/2 gallon of unsweetened passion iced tea and I'm just storing it in the fridge.  Herbal iced teas are a great way to get your water in without the sugar/calories.
