  If the bleeding was enough that you needed a pad or tampon, then it was your period. It is totally possible for your cycles to become different than usual at any time.

  And if the test is negative, you are not pregnant.

  I was not asking if I was pregnant. I was asking if anyone has had something similar to this happen.. and I know plenty of people who've tested negative and testing positive a few days later.

  This is in fact asking "Can I still be pregnant even after testing negative".
  
  No body else's story has any bearing on yours.

  ETA: I'd like to add that when you test negative you are NOT pregnant. When you turn a test positive you ARE pregnant. So your friends were not yet pregnant at the time they tested. Once they tested positive, THEN they were pregnant.

  The PPs already covered the negative test = not pregnant thing, so I'll just say ditto to that.
  
  Also, unless you're temping and confirming ovulation, you don't know that your period was late. Likely you ovulated later this cycle.
  
  Cycles change - they can get longer or shorter, your period can get heavier or lighter. The best thing you can do is read more posts on here and pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility to learn more about charting your cycles. It'll save a lot of stress.

  Yeah /shrug.If you want to keep testing then keep going but if it was negative you are not pregnant at this time but if you want to wait a week and test again then go ahead but you could have ovulated late or something.Iv'e also had 2 day periods.Mostly very light-heavy but they say if you have to change the pad or tampon out after an hour then its considered your period or heavy spotting.

  Just to add in you probably shouldn't ask the TTGP community if anyone has tested negative and the later received a positive. Because obviously none of us have received a positive. Just advice I'm a newbie and that's what I have picked up by lurking.
