Question for 2nd time moms

We are trying to narrow down car seat choices- right now I am leaning towards Graco snug ride click connect 35. Just wondering if there were any suggestions about what is good/bad or specific ones that work well! Thank you!

I didn't use graco but we had the britax b-safe and loved it. DD was in it until almost her first birthday.
The graco's seem to be smaller and babies out grow them faster. A few friends had them and their babies were out at 6-7 months

I have the Chicco KeyFit 30 and we really liked it.  It was easy to use and to get in and out of the car with the base

  • We have the graco snug ride 35. I love it. Super lightweight and fit with our Bob stroller attachment. But I also don't know any different. We were able to use it for a long time. I think the height restriction is 32 inches. My son was never super tall but it lasted until he was nearly 2. He's around 32lbs now so would technically so fit the weight requirements if he wasn't too tall.
  • We used the Chicco Key fit 30 also, and it was amazing!!! When my little love was 7mo old we got in a horrible car accident and the car was totaled. She was snug in her car seat, and did not have a bruise or scratch on her. We took her to be checked out at the hospital and at a chiropractor! I would definitely recommend the Chicco car seat because we know it works in a bad situation.
  • Another vote for the Chicco Key Fit 30. I absolutely love it.
  • Britax B-safe is what we have and love!

I used a Maxi Cosi Mico for both my boys. I liked it a lot and found it fairly light to carry.

I also had the Graco Snugride 35. I loved it. It was rated the same as the Chicco one but with a lower price point. DD was small so we were able to use it until she 18 months. We will use it with this baby as well.

Any tips for someone with a small car? We have a newer Nissan Altima and I'm terrified I'm gonna have to go put the seat all the wat forward to fit one back there.

@cawalp I am with you there. I have a 2 door Mini Cooper S... I may have to get a baby friendly car :/ after all the time I spent learning how to drive a stick I don't wanna go back to a automatic.. But I'm sure I will eventually. We are definitely going to take my car while shopping around to see if any car seats will fit!
  • Got the same one you mentioned. Love it and am happy to use again for this babe! Got the Britax convertible for my 21 month old now.
  • We used the Chicco Keyfit 30 and loved it. It was really light weight and easy to get in and out of the car/ stroller.
  • We used the graco snugride 35 as well. When DD was born, hubby and I had small cars. I had a 2 door Scion tC and he had a dodge neon. That car seat was a breeze to get in and out. The trouble came when we had to get the rear facing toddler ones. They're so big.

FYI-if you have a graco snugride 35 from years past, check the recall. We had to replace the buckle, which they sent. The new ones are fine.

  • We have the Britax b-safe and love it as well. Super easy to get in and out. I will get the same one for this baby (since DD will still be in hers).

  • We have the graco snug ride click connect 35. We have liked it. In fact it is still what I use In my car for DD (she is a peanut). We will use it for babe #2 as well.

  • We used the Graco snug ride and had no complaints so we'll be reusing it for this one.

  • Another for the Graco SnugRide. We used it for DS and will be using it again. Spend money on the seat they'll be in long term, not the carrier car seat! Plus they all have to pass the same safety standards anyway.

I used Graco infant seat, it holds 5-35 pounds, my almost 2 year old can still fit in it. No complaints about it
