Yep, with my first, I was popping tums 2x a night every night leading up to delivery. Never opened the bottle again until I got pregnant with this one.
Same as other people, I was on a prescription for how bad my heartburn was and still takings tums every day!
While pushing I had the worst heartburn ever and once my daughter was out it went away. I didn't notice until the next day when the nurse asked if I wanted to take my prescription!
It's not just heartburn- I needed ondansetron (zofran) throughout my pregnancies and never had to take it again after labour. So nice to quit all the tablets cold turkey and have zero symptoms x
I didn't have heartburn while pushing during either of my deliveries but yes, never had it again after both were born. Best day ever. I could eat without my insides burning.
