my daughter is one week old and is being breast fed. Since my milk came in she starting spitting up just a little if you moved her after eating. Today I didn't move her and she projectile vomited. After she had thick slobber so I used the sucky ball to suck it from the sides of her moth and under her tongue. When I called to talk to the nurse at the ped office she acted like it was no big deal bc it had happened only one time. Now I'm terrified and I'm scared to feed her. Obviously I will but I'm just scared. Has this happened to anyone before? Did it continue or was it just a one time thing?
Re: Projectile vomit?
i know it's scary to be a new mom and see your babe do something so crazy. My doctor assured me that if it didn't continue consistently, then it was just an isolated incident due to the over abundance of milk. It's nice to talk to other mommas who are going thru the same thing! Hope this helps. Keep us posted.
I'm hoping that I get to know my LO that well! I'm trying!
Someone once told me that the birth of a child is like a blind date with the love of your life. Give it sometime as you get to know each other. It sounds like you are doing a beautiful job already. Good luck momma.
That's beautiful!! :x
Treatment was, shorter feelings with more frequent burping, and keeping the baby upright.
