27 weeks and barely showing

This baby will be my second little girl and I'm already 27 weeks and I'm barely showing and with my first one I started showing really big by now. Is anyone else the same way and they started to get bigger just in a later time?

  • Yeah, not having that "problem" at all. I'm as huge as a cow.
  • So I'm guessing the word rude is just applied to every comment now. I couldn't even find one rude response in this thread. This is becoming so ridiculous.

    Um, Brooklyn? You're being rood.
    =; ;)

@morganabyrd Yeeeeup! The pic has since been removed (obv) but it was truly horrifying.
  • My grandmother was this way her 3rd pregnancy. Her doctors called it a softbelly (I'm sure the term has changed since 35 years ago).

  • @przemosbabe I'm sorry you feel this way. My comment was actually to make her feel better. Not to piss anyone off or make her feel bad. This is not to shame her at all. The pictures and silly comments are to make her feel better about being tiny. I should have used softer words to make you feel better. No one wants to be huge. But in reality if she is seeing an OB and she is measuring fine, then she has nothing to worry about. 3rd trimester is a pissy time for some women. This is a public forum and there is snark at times I'm sorry to tell you.

No offense, but she at the same time posted the same question in the 3rd trimester board, of which I am mostly a lurker. I try to be respectful but I believe this is unnecessary. I didn't answer either because we all show at different times and felt this question was a massive repeat.
  • I think the problem with posts like these is you can't always tell what the intentions of the OP are. Is this a humble brag designed to piss everyone off? Is she actually worried that something could be wrong? Is she nervous about her size and hoping a STM has advice? You never know, but it almost always comes off like the first question and that never sits well with anyone, especially when you're in your third trimester and feeling like a whale, no matter your size.

    #humblebragz are everywhere, yo.

  • This thread is funny....please don't take social media seriously. Anyway I have other fears and anxiety about pregnancy, but meanwhile let me sit this 26.5 week (Almost 27 weeks) pic right here :) #preggoandstillfabulous

The past 2 weeks I think my child has moved to my rear end. I swear it's gained as much bump as my actual baby bump at the moment. I wore a fitted dress to a party on Saturday and while I was getting ready I just kept telling myself that I was a Kardashian sister. That helped a little. :)
My friend told me that our booty's get big for balance. Don't want to get too heavy in the front and just topple over! That big ol' back porch is there to save us! #bigbuttsforsafety
I've had a pretty small/flat butt my entire life...I'm enjoying the perky, round booty I've got right now!  Not to big, but nice and round.  And DH loves it too!  I think you're right though, it it wasn't there I might topple over forward!! ;)

Haha this is so stinking hilarious!!! Unfortunately I feel like I've lost my butt since I got pregnant. I've never had a big one but it was definitely there. Now I guess since my stomach pokes out further, my butt has flattened out. :(

Everyone carries differently... I believe it's based on the positioning of your uterus .... But if you are concerned I'd double check with your doctor. I on the contrary am carrying average to large and have hippo swollen feet most of the time .... I think swimming helped so much and brought my ankles back to normal and I highly recommend it ... From all the swimming I did in Belize including with the Sharks my ankles, legs and feet were so skinny but the flight back made me have super duper hippo/elephant feet .... The swelling barely even went down the next morning! Ladies remember a few more months and our ankles will be back to normal and we will have a bundle of joy in our arms!!!!
