What are you ladies doing? Hiring a pro? Taking them yourself? Got a fancy camera? Phone pics? Let's see those babies! What props are you using? I read it's best to do the pictures in the first 9 days. This is our sweet girl day 11 taken with my iPhone.
Taking a real camera to hospital, sure I will take many with my phone, and planning professional photos from the photographer who did my maternity photos too
We are doing newborn professional photos. I made a cute little crown for our baby boy, inspired by where the wild things are. Also putting him in a wood crate with soft blankets. I just need baby :-/
My DS father's aunt is a professional photographer, so she does all the boys' pictures. Here's some of our newborn pics. The first one was taken in the hospital
My hospital has a photographer from Mom365 go around asking new parents if they will like newborn pictures. I bought this one. I will order the rest online.
Haven't had baby yet, but we will have a professional at the birth and for a family session afterward. Like @blukats, we were offered a free session by a semi-new photographer trying to build her portfolio, particularly with homebirths. All these pics are precious btw!!
Professional coming to the hospital for our birth session and then within 10 days of birth in our home for newborn session. Baby to come on Thursday!!!!
We had a professional shoot done, originally weren't planning on it but then I realized he'll never be a newborn again. Waiting for the final edits but attached is one I took over her shoulder. So glad we had them done. He was 12 days old.
We used Bella Baby, the hospital photographer, for our birth announcement photos, but also had professional photos done at 2 weeks. Our nurse was kind of cranky with the photographer so she was in and out of our room in less than 10 minutes-- I knew I'd regret it if we didn't have more professional photos!
We had Liam's done when he was 7 days old. I figured it was worth it to have them done since we will look back on them often! Here are a few of my favorites!
We did mom365 at the hospital, I'm jealous of yalls they only took some of her laying on a sheet on the bed. None with us, though we'll be taking some more newborn pics since my family does photography.
Ryder was a little fussy during his photo shoot, I snapped this one at home. We haven't gotten the professionals back yet: he was 8 days old in this one
Re: Newborn photography
