Hey mommas!
I dont know about you girls, but I feel such a sense of accomplishment and pride with every baby item we get and put together. May sound silly, but really, it fills me with a lot of joy to get something done. We're house-hunting so I cant go overboard with anything, costwise or decorationwise. But gosh did I feel amazing putting together the pack and play this weekend. I also picked up the topper for our dresser and attached it safely. Progress is being made and I feel the need to brag about it! Between being stuck on rest for ages and still not being allowed to do much at all, it feels amazing to be getting things ready. Even if the pack and play is currently also my bookcase until DH moves some of his college books to the storage..

The pup has been laying next to the pack and play since I set it up, so I just put her pillow there. Who knows, she may end up wanting to be close to baby or something.
Anyone want to brag with me? I cant be the only one that feels this way!
Re: Productive and proud!
By the way, your puppy is adorable. I love the brown patch over her eye!
I'll try and top it by finishing my work now, cooking dinner tonight and looking for nursery items online.
Now I'm at a standstill until my shower
I'm in nesting mode and all I can think about is baby but there's nothing to do right now!
I've almost finished the first Christmas gift on my list (it will be an ornament when it's done). And I finally restrung a necklace that I made too short before, which I'll be giving my mom for Christmas.
We just installed new hardwood so we need to stain and poly the flooring, I can't wait but I definitely won't have the actual nursery ready until baby gets here. Finishing the floors will be the final step.
I can't wait to feel the satisfaction of putting everything together. My nesting however has kept the house clean
We're still looking for a house, so chances are we'll be packing all this stuff back up before baby gets here.. But I figured not doing anything yet isnt an option either. I dont want to have to scramble to get everything done when we bring her home if we dont find anything and/or she decides to come a bit early.
Still don't have a crib, need to make the skirt, rail guard, and a quilt. I did however finish the mobile and get it hung!
Edit: photo insert got wacky!
Yesterday I went through and started a before baby arrives and an after baby arrives to do list. Thankfully, the after is muck longer than the before! Most of the before projects are small and I plan to try to tackle one a night, but gosh is it hard during the week! It's the last thing I feel like doing after work!
