Can follies shrink?(kinda long post)

So a short back story, I am on cd9 and had b/w and u/s this am. On cd5 I went in for my 2nd bw and us after 3 days on low dose hcg 30 u and follistim 450 u they counted 17 follies between 11 and 13 mm they lowered the follistim to 400 u and increased low dose hcg to 40u did that thurs through sat. So when I had my us and bw they said my levels were at 2000 and I had the following follies 16>10mm 2@13mm 4@15mm and 2@17. They are continuing stim for at least 1 more night but will the others grow that fast? I only have 1 ovary so I was hoping for more mature follies. Can that happen? And how long can they keep you on the ganirelix? I guess I'm super nervous because I know how this can go. But I also know that from what I understand those numbers are great for 1 ovary. Any thoughts?

    I have never heard of follies shrinking, and I really dont have any answers to your questions.  I was curious as to the outcome and what your doctor had to say about this. Good luck I hope it all works out.

    Well honestly by the time I got back to the doctor I had forgotten to ask because there were so Many follies that had gotten so big I was amazed...lol and then I figured it didn't matter. However after getting to this point I think I actually had follies that hadn't been there originally because today there were so many the nurse asked me multiple times how I was feeling I guess when your ovary resembles a pomegranate it's uncomfortable.

    It really is for me is was painful and I felt received after the retrieval. I hope you get good embryo as :) keep us posted

    I will keep you posted of course I had just read that someone else had 30 total follies which I think is really great. But that information made me realize why the doctor was asking how I felt I only have 1 ovary and almost 30 follies and more then 1/2 at 18 and some as high as 25. My ovary must think it's a Balloon by now.

    Wow those are great numbers especially for one ovary I had 28 total and both my ovaries were a little sore, not too bad. Having your follies around 18-22 is great! Good luck with those embryos. This is exciting! I have my FX!
