Infertility

Hope after 2 failed transfers with CCS/PGS tested blastocysts?

Hi, everyone. I just finished my second unsuccessful FET:( We are doing IVF because of azospermia, no known issues with me. I am 27 years old. Our retrieval went great, 76 eggs, 59 mature and we ended up with 19 embryos. After doing CCS testing, 11 came back as chromosomally normal. Unfortunately, both FETs we've done(SET both times) have been unsuccessful. The first was a chemical pregnancy and the second a plain old negative. Everything looked great with my lining, hormones levels and the embryos but still no luck. I have been pregnant before which sadly ended in a stillbirth at 20 weeks due to spina bifida so I know I am capable of getting pregnant, or at least I was a year ago. I guess I'm just looking for hope here. Anyone had multiple failed transfers with CCS/PGS and eventually be successful? My RE thinks we've just been unlucky and is encouraging us to try again. Thanks so much.

  • Oh my God. I cant even imagine what you went through with your still birth. I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I can somewhat relate to you because just like you i am young. I am 26 and my DH is 25. Our infertility is due to MFI. I dont really have any stories of failures after PGS but after 2 BFN and one miscarriage at 7 weeks (which i am currently still going through) me and my DH decided to do PGS next fresh cycle. It seems that you respond very well to the meds because 76 eggs is amazing. I am just here to offer you my support and i am sorry that i did not offer any hope. I am interested in what others have to say though because this PGS is a journey i am about to take also. I wish you all the luck in your journey and i am sure that you will be successful just keep trying and dont give us. Its very much easier said than done trust me. But we have to keep trying.

  • Hi, I just wanted to send you my condolences that must be extremely difficult to deal with. I don't really have much advice for you. DH and I also suffer from MFI and I had Endo which I had removed in January. We had one failed IVF fresh cycle and I find out if the second is successful tmw. As far as pgs we haven't done that type of testing. I wish you good luck. From what I hear it takes a few try's and the good thing is you responded well to the meds.

  • So sorry for your loss! I am thinking of doing PGS on my frozen embryos but very nervous bc I am not sure they do that a lot on frozen embryos. I have had two miscarraiges so that's why. I know they like to do pgs on a fresh cycle.
