Re: ***1st tri check in 7-27***

  • I have been super anxious since the ultrasound that we will lose one or both babies. If I'm not as nauseous one day over another I get freaked out. It's really really hard. Like I get these near panic attack crying bawling sessions. I will be glad to be at a point when I can feel secure in the fact that we're actually going to bring home these babies.

This is an ivf pregnancy, we did ivf/Icsi freeze all with CCS and a subsequent FET cycle.

I despise anything cutesy related to pregnancy. Preggo, preggers, gender reveals, etc...nms

  • I'll check in here one last time, second tri starts tomorrow, so I'll join there next week!

I had a cerclage (preventative) placed Friday. My OP was scheduled for 130 and I didn't get brought back until 5, and had last food/drink at 11 the night before! General anesthesia is no fun. Apparently they knock out pregnant women faster, so your entire body tenses up terribly. The next day felt as though I'd been in a car accident and rear-ended, along with cramps. All better now! We saw our regular OB today, he is basically there for there section and perinatologist does everything.
I've had a total of 7 ultrasounds and all my babes are still great!
Hopefully things slow down and relax in second tri :D
QOTW: IUI #3 I'm indifferent to preg slang. DH calls me preggers (just between ourselves) and rubs my belly.
It's sweet. These are his first so it's fun to see his reactions and ideas.

Two years, two losses and three IUIs...

    We are having TRIPLETS!

    EDD 1/26/16

     GGB born November 2015!

  • Loading the player...
  • Just had our NT scan today! Bbay slept the entire time so it took over an hour to get all the measurements they needed, but everything looks great!

    I did about 234209234 Clomid cycles = 0 babies

    2 IUIs = 0 babies

3 Fresh IVFs, transerred a total of 7 embryos = 1 ectopic pregnancy.

We lost our insurance after IVF #3 failed and were told we would never conceive without IVF because I only have a right tube and HSG showed major obstruction/ blockage, very slow spillage.... So we just threw in towel, totally gave up on the idea of having a sibling for our DD, and ended up KU on our own 6 months later. So the treatment that finally worked for us was "Relax and it'll happen" Go figure.

  • We did 2 IVFs and had DS#2 and this time our solo frostie took via FET. We had agreed no more IVFs due to money. This is PG#6 and still hard to believe it's real even tho we heard the HB on the Doppler today at the OB!! That was an amazing moment. I opted not to do the Mat21 (is that the right name?) I think I would rather the NT scan via u/s on the 10th. But that gender knowledge is haunting me....

And I still cringe every time I heard preggo and preggers. I waited long enough to get here I don't want any cutsie nick names!!

  • This is my first time posting here. I feel like we were lucky to figure out what our IF problems were right from the beginning. My husband has low sperm so our only option was IVF. On the day of the retervial he had to go through a sperm ectraction procedure where we still didn't get enough to fertilize all of my eggs. We ended up with 1 good, 1 fail and a long shot. We transferred all 3 and luckily it all worked and I am 7w5d pregnant! We are so happy. Our due date is March 9.
  • @CalleyC11 welcome!!! That is amazing!! Every baby is a miracle! Are you pregnant with just one? :)

My first time posting here too. I conceived through IVF w/ICSI. I had my first IUI back in Nov of 2005, but m/c @ 6wks. From 2006 - 2014 I had 8 more IUI's, none worked. I finally moved onto IVF in May & conceived on that cycle with a fresh transfer (and have 2 frosties in storage).

I'm 37 & I'm 11w3d today (due Feb 13th with a singleton). I just got my results back from NIPT testing (Harmony) & thankfully the results were good. All low risk, so a "normal" result. I also chose to find out the gender & I'll be having a girl. :) My next midwife appt is in mid-Aug, but the next U/S isn't until mid-Sept. Gonna be a long wait until I can "see" her again...

As far as the term preggo, it doesn't bother me at all but not something that I use.
    37, expecting #1 through IVF/w ICSI
    Due: Feb 13, 2016
    NIPT all clear & it's a Girl!

I'm joining the "First Time Posters" club too, @akk77 and @CalleyC11.

Today I am 5w4d and had blood work this morning to check my HcG, progesterone, and estradiol. It's a stat order so I hope to hear by this afternoon that the pregnancy is continuing to progress. My first two betas were great, but I am still so nervous!!!

It took 2 rounds of IUI and 3 rounds of IVF to get to our first embryo transfer this month, which was successful. We transferred one PGS-tested boy and *assume* it's a singleton but who knows? :)

I don't mind nicknames or cutesy things. I'm not into it much myself, but I know it's other people's way of celebrating the situation and I can't fault them for that.

    Me: 35 DOR - AMH 1.1 FSH 5.6

May/June 2015 - Microflare IVF protocol with HGH - 9 eggs, 6 mature, 5 fertilized (ICSI), 3 blasts for biopsy!

  • I totally missed the question... Preggo doesn't bother me at all. I usually say preggtastic or preggosaurus when I'm talking to pregnant friends.

  • Hi All,
Love reading all your updates. :)
Just got back from my u/s and I can relax a bit! I'm 7w4d or 5d pregnant (2 doctors told me differently so I'm confused); baby had heartbeat of 156 and measured good and so far is healthy! I was so convinced I lost this baby cuz I've been bleeding all weekend and I was balling in the office before my appt, so the tech quickly found the heartbeat so I could relax. Turns out I have a subchorianic hematoma (like a bruise) on the top of my uterus so that's why I'm bleeding. Have to take it easy, no sex for 2 weeks, and stop my baby aspirin. Hopefully it won't be an issue.

Anyways, we did maybe 10 rounds of clomid (I lost count), and 6 iuis (3 with clomid, 3 with injectibles). All BFN. Our 1st round of IVF/ICSI worked! Thankfully, since we only had 1 good 5-day embryo to transfer and they also transferred an "early blast" but only the one took. We had none to freeze. I'm so grateful right now!!! :)

QOTW: I don't mind "preggo" but I can't stand the word preggers!! Lol
  • First time posting as well! I am really early here - 4 weeks today but hopeful!! Got a positive digital Sunday and confirmed beta yesterday with hcg count at 25, 13dpo. I'm a little nervous with the low number - going back tomorrow for second beta, fingers crossed!!

We did 4 iui's, 2 clomid and 2 letrozole. This was the first month on progesterone support so hoping that's what made the difference!!

Thank you! Super excited to move into the 2nd trimester :)
We received the results back today, all is well
    :)

Preggo, Preggers...to each their own. People will say what they are comfortable with and I'm not very judge-y, so it doesn't matter to me. I just say that I'm expecting.

We've done numerous Clomid cycles, started a TI cycle but cancelled and moved straight to IVF. We weren't good candidates for IUI.
One fresh IVF cycle and here we are! Super lucky in that aspect.
  • I got an ultrasound today due to nerves over a bleed a couple of weeks ago and cramps. Turns out that I have a small sub chorionic hemorrhage. I have my NT ultrasound in 2 weeks and they will double check it then. Babies were moving like crazy and had heart rates in the 170s. I too am terrified of losing one or both of them.

Question: I did 7 rounds of IUI without success. I did one round of IVF with ICSI and now an 10w1d with twins. Got 2 more embryos on ice that hopefully we won't need.
  • I have another ultrasound tomorrow to check on Thing 1 and Thing 2. So far, all is well...fingers crossed!!
We had bilateral tubal blockage. This was our first round of IVF, now 8wk3d pregnant with twins. We have one bean on ice just in case.

Qotw: I don't really have an issue with the pregnancy slang, to each his own I guess.
Me: 36 DH: 38 -TTC since May 2011. Bilateral mid-tubal blockages. Starting first IVF minimal stim cycle in June. Labs-Day 3: TSH 1.60mIU/L FSH 6.8mIU/mL Estradiol 46 pg/mL Day 10: FSH 5.3mIU/mL
