rescheduled appt

My first appt was yesterday. The only thing I was waiting on was for the doctor and the ultrasound tech to come in and do the ultrasound. We waited and waited for 30 minutes and then the nurse comes in and says "well the doctor had an emergency, so we have to reschedule you. " I know it sounds silly and I really hope the woman with the emergency is okay, but I was so disappointed. I waited almost 2 months for this appt and now I have to wait 2 more weeks... I guess I just needed a place to vent

    I hear you. I've had it happen before and it sort of sucks. 2 more weeks though means that baby will be even cuter for your u/s.

    That really sucks.... I'm sorry! That must be stressful!! Maybe you can find a 3d ultrasound imaging place to take a peek! I did this yesterday! It is a nice relief!

    Well my husband's best friend works in the same building as my doctor, and he just said he's gonna pull some strings and get me in there by the end of the week! Here's hoping : )

    That would be so frustrating. My doctor's office has a sign in their office stating something to the effect of 'one day you could be the emergency causing someone else's appointment delay'. Pretty much, in 7 months, it could be your baby causing someone else to have to reschedule.

    I totally understand that as much as your heart goes out to the woman with the emergency, you had your hopes up for that day!
    My doc doesn't do US she sends me to an imaging place up the road and I was having great luck seeing my doc and getting in for imaging the very next day. Then last time the imaging place closed unexpectedly and I had to wait the long 4th of July weekend before seeing the LO. When you feel like you have waited soooo long those extra days are torturous!
