Early HCG levels

Hi everyone!

So I was just wanting to compare and hear from others. If I have learned anything it is that there is no normal and every woman is different but would still just like to hear. We have been ttc for 7 years and I am so nervous.

Anyways, we got our first positive test on Thursday. We went in Friday (7/24) for blood work and my hcg level was only 25. I went in again Monday (7/28) and my levels were 159. We are due April 2.

I know it's rising but the numbers just seems so darn low that it has me a bit concerned. Even the nurses when they call with the numbers say it's low and are not too reassuring to me. Are these hcg levels normal this early? What were your numbers like?

Those sound perfectly normal! I had my labs drawn this past Saturday (which would only make me approximately 8DPO) and my level was only 12, but from what I was told, is super normal and actually surprising for only that far out from ovulation. I had my labs taken again yesterday and i'm still waiting for the results. As long as they double within a 48-72 hour period, you're right on track

I second that as long as they double in a two/three day period you are doing good.
I wish my doctor did blood work, nope just have to wait until 8w appt.

I was only offered the bloodwork due to my recent MC. I think it's more of a peace of mind knowing that the levels are rising appropriately and it's not just a CP, etc. Otherwise, if all is well, I won't hear from them again until my 8 week appointment.... that seems SO FAR AWAY! lol!

I think they are only doing my blood work because we are at an infertility clinic so they like to track and measure everything! Which I do appreciate of them! This was our third IUI. They want to do one more round of blood work tomorrow before sending us out to our regular doctor.

We are trying not to let it outshine this pregnancy. I want to be happy and not have that looming in the back of my mind. Once these levels results come back, I will hopefully calm down, lol!

Your numbers went up considerably though, so it sounds like you're on your way!

So, uh... wanna send me some good vibes now? My results came back and I only rose from 12 to 22 in about 56 hours. I have to go back again tomorrow for another draw. My heart completely sank and I'm starting to fear the worst...

They are doubling nicely which is a good sign. What was your first beta drawn at 14 DPO? Because at that point, 25 is a relatively low number… But still it doesn't count you out. You may have just implanted later which would explain why the number was lower at that point. If you were not 14 DPO, then I would say that you are more than doubling every two days which is fantastic. They probably are using the words "cautiously optimistic?" In any case, everything is crossed for you and wishing you very good luck!

Just for clarification: The first beta was drawn at 8DPO and the second at 10DPO. According to FF and my temping/charting, I ovulated on 7/17. I just happened to test 7DPO and get a faint positive and call that same day.

My hcg was 25 on first draw yesterday at 13 dpo... Go for second tomorrow as I'm also at infertility dr and praying it goes up!! 25 to 159 sounds perfect since it's only supposed to double every 2-3 days!!!

I got my first hcg tuesday it was 23 at 8dpo then on Friday 10dpo it was 85. I think that makes doubling time 25hours.

I've had 2 early mc so I'm not getting too invested yet because I just found out my thyroid is all out of wack.

I'm going through the same thing. At 11 DPO my HCG level was 36. The doctor called and said he was concerned so I had to go back in today (17 DPO) to see if they have gone way up. Was not expecting him to say anything other than yes it's positive!

So went back today for new levels and went from 25 at 13 dpo to 87 at 15 dpo! While still low it's more than tripled when they were looking for double!! Does anyone know if this jump would potentially be indicative of twins? We went through infertility treatments and there were 3 eggs this month!

Had my third blood work up today ... HCG went from 159 on Monday to 167 today (wed). Does not look good anymore. I have to go back on Monday and they said we will go from there.

Last week on Wednesday (no clue on DPO)
my levels were 87. I had to go back on Friday and they went up to 131. My doctor is a little worried but we have no clue how far along I am. Had a cp June 24, 2015. Could be good or bad numbers depending on how far I am
