Can anybody relate?
Baby Clay wants me to hold him nearly all day long...and only me. He will scream after less than 5 minutes with even DH. It's frustrating for all of us. I have a preschooler who also needs me and a house and business to take care of. I can't hold him all the time. I wear him a lot just to avoid the crying. Is this normal? DH works a lot and I'm with baby 24/7 but should he be this attached? I feel awful for saying this, it must sound horrible but I need a break every now and then too.
I seriously can't go to the bathroom before he's crying. As soon as I pick him up, boom, fine. I could hold this kid upside down and he'd be happy as long as I'm holding him.
Suggestions? Anyone relate?
Re: baby wants only mama all the time
I don't have many suggestions other than trying to get DH to spend as much time with him as possible when he's around. Hopefully he will start to adjust and at least accept him to give you a break.
I'm sorry i don't have any advise although i'm a little jealous that your LO recognizes you already, my LO doesn't show any signs that she does, she smiles more for me but that's mostly because i know what she likes not because she likes me best.
Of course I wouldn't want her as attached as your LO is, i hope it gets better with time, has it always been like this? Because it might be a wonder week, google it, my LO is 11 weeks and has been super fussy then i read about that and it makes sense
And @lilsunflowermomma we are both packing around 10 week 16 pounders! I feel your pain...right between the shoulder blades and lower back most of the time!
I have no advice at all, I just hope she slowly gets more comfortable with other people.
