Desperate for some tata support!

Hey ladies,
I have searched all over the boards and I cannot find a post that actually answers this question, but please feel free to prove me wrong if there exists such a thread.
My breasts have gotten so large since I first saw that positive pregnancy test that they're now at a 36G (was 34DD before). I need to buy some new bras as the ones I bought last trimester no longer fit. However, bras in this size, especially nursing bras, average about $50. I just do not have this kind of money and I've exhausted myself trying to find affordable options with good reviews. Buying a bra online is tricky, but especially so when your tatas are huge. I've searched brick and mortar stores with no luck and I thought the web would be better...
Does anyone have any websites (besides Amazon) or brands that they'd recommend? The three of us would be eternally grateful!!!

  • I went from a 44 DDD to a 44 F. I feel your pain. I'm looking myself. I saw some threads on this. I'll look for it and send you info or post it here.

Playtex.com When my mother (who was well endowed) was alive, she would order her bras from there. They make great styles and come in all sizes.

    EDIT:
    1. Not ALL sizes. They actually do not cater to smaller chested women.
    2. Very reasonably priced.
  • One more:

Some of their bra styles come in the size you need.
  • Linda the bra lady. The bras that size will be in excess of 50 bucks but it's worth it to get a quality bra. I personally have had to get special expensive bras most of my adult life. Lane Bryant also has an underware brand cacique I believe back sizes start at 36 and you can find up until an H cup. They often have buy one get one free or other sales on their bras.

I was a 34GG before getting pregnant, I have found the girls are going to be much happier with one REALLY good bra than several cheaper. I got fitted at Nordstrom for an Elomi and it was the best money I have ever spent. A year later that thing still fit like brand new. It's expensive, yes, but a proper fit and a great bra and I PROMISE your girls will thank you.
  • Thank you ladies!! I definitely agree that great quality (with a higher price) is better as all my pre-pregnancy bras were really nice; however, I have no idea if the girls are going to get any bigger since this is my first pregnancy and I've already gone through my first trimester bras, so I'm hesitant to spend the same amount I'd normally spend to get good quality.  It's super frustrating; I wish I wasn't living hand to mouth in NY right now :(

The websites are perfect, they actually made me not want to cry! Thank you again!

I also went from 34DD to a 34G. I did go to an intimacy and got properly measured for a better fit because my bras where so uncomfortable, the bras they sell are quite expensive but you can get fitted and buy your correct size online. I usually buy all my bras from Amazon. My favorite brands that are good quality, affordable and comfortable are lilyette, wacoal, Bali and glamourise. You can also check out figleaves.com, they're prices are a little high but they have great sales.

  • Do you have a gordmans near you? Their bras are SO cheap, like $4 cheap. I'm not quite sure about the sizes but it doesn't hurt to look! They may not be the best quality, but they get the job done. :) good luck in your search!
  • I'm so grateful to the OP because this is my 1st pregnancy too and it's getting so difficult and expensive to get a good bra that actually fits. I have had to shop online or at Nordstrom for years and now I'm really running out of options. It makes me want to give up and I spent a whole day looking and it ended in tears. :(

I'm same size as you. Nordstrom has this wacoal on sale thru this week. Also all bras at Nordstrom can be converted into a nursing bra.

I have 2, they are my fave. I believe they go up to H.

  • Just reporting back. I bought 3 bras:

On top of being on sale, the websites had additional coupon codes! Like I said before, I'm used to spending more on nice quality bras, but these are fantastic! VERY well structured (esp. the top 2 which are my favorites) and they give me a great shape. I about cried when I put on the minimizers because they actually fit so well and I felt thin for the first time in ages! It's so important to know your correct size though, so definitely remeasure before you order.

Anyway, hope this helped some of you. @Erikaalzet thank you again for these websites!
