Period=Low milk supply

I am EBF but just got my period at 11 weeks post partum. :(. Anyway, I had an oversupply but now I have much less since my period started. Anyone have experience with this? Will my supply come back? I started taking a calcium + magnesium supplement and eating oatmeal, but I think it's too late for it to make a difference for this period.

  • I feel like I've been lied to! I was under the impression that since I am EBFi won't get my period. Now every time I go to the washroom I am nervous. I am 12 weeks PP and haven't seen it yet. So sorry for you mamas!
  • Same here! Period at 9 weeks PP, low milk
  • I'm glad nobody told me that ebf mamas don't get their period for a while. I wasn't surprised when I got mine at 8 or 9w pp  :P Didn't notice a drop in supply though :/ I'm still taking prenatals and dha

    I got mine few days ago at 11 weeks, i'm 12 today. I was told that some women get it in a month, others in 6+ months so i kinda saw it coming. But i didn't really notice a drop in my supply when it started, but a week before it did, and ever since i've been paying more attention to which side i'm feeding from and pumping more often and doing everything i'm supposed to do to increase my supply and i do see results, i'm back to normal which is just enough for my baby and maybe 1-2 extra pumped bottles for storage.
