I live in Ontario and have wonderful midwives and this far have had a healthy pregnancy and very little in the way of complications or concerns. I also live in the country in an old farm house and don't have a car. My husband works A LOT and up to 2 hours away depending on the day, traffic etc. and my Mom lives over an hour away. I've kept busy through my pregnancy with prepping nursery, gardening, housework etc and due to that have stayed fit (I'm normally a landscaper but took the season off to grow our baby girl). I'm hoping to have a home birth as it goes well with my lifestyle and makes me feel in more in control but now that I'm 35 weeks I'm concerned I might forget things that would make the process easier. Have any of you had a home birth and have any advice? It's hard for me to get supplies but could go this weekend with hubby if there's stuff I need... I appreciate any advice as I'm a first time Mom and haven't even been able to do birth classes due to hubby's schedule...
Re: Home Birth Advice... 35 weeks, 34 years old and starting to loose my calm a little
I would also suggest Ina Mays books. Hearing positive birth stories is really helpful. We're also taking a bradley childbirth class which has been great but I'm sure you could get a lot of the same info from a book or online.
