Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself, I am 28 and DH is 34, we will be married for 2 yrs in October. I just found out we are pregnant again after having a MMC and D&C in April of this year at what would have been my 12+3wk mark (the baby stopped growing at 9+4wks). I am over the moon excited and paralyzed with fear at the same time I am only 4+4wks along, this is way earlier than I knew last time so more waiting. I know it is completely normal to be scared, but I'm really trying not to let it overwhelm me.
I found out about the MMC on the day before my birthday this year, and the new baby is due on my birthday. I'm really hoping that it sticks or else I may change my birthday to a different day.
Anyway I just wanted to say hello.

Re: Cautious Introduction
Do you think it would help my sanity if I got my levels checked?

I didn't know anything about hcg or progesterone with my first, but after my loss I wanted to know everything. I'm a worrier, too, big time. Once I relaxed about one thing ,like the numbers, I'd start worrying about something new so checking your levels won't make you worry free the entire time.
I'd ask for extra ultrasounds, too! Regardless of whether you see a regular OB or a specialist they should be sensitive to your loss and try to accommodate you as much as possible. I'd go in sometimes when my doctor wasn't there and just see an ultrasound tech. Their office was slow so they were able to work me in easily and I'd still get piece of mind. Some people don't want to call, but never feel bad about asking for something that will ease your anxiety and help you enjoy your pregnancy more! Every woman deserves that, but especially after a loss.
@PlainJane8350 yeah I know if it isn't one thing it will be another. Right now I'm too early for an U/S so show me anything I want to see anyway. I'm just going to wait it out until the 19th. I was even singing that stupid song about if this month has 30 or 31 days in it I was like maybe there is one less day, but nope July has 31 ha ha.
