The first time lasted 3 weeks but it was vaginal this time I had a c section and from the start it wasn't as heavy as my first I'll be 2 weeks post pardum tomorrow and I'm almost wearing panties liners because the bleeding had gotten lighter
Has anyone experienced a section and had bleeding slow down to be able to wear panty liners by one week pp, and them get heavy enough for max pads again? Hoping I was just doing too much
I was able to wear panty liners the fifth day and bleeding has stopped, now it's just old blood and barely any. Three weeks Tuesday, vaginal delivery FTM
I had C-section 3 weeks ago and my bleeding wasn't to bad. Stopped then started again after being home. Beginning of this week it got heavier and bright red, turns out I had retained part of placenta that came out when I used the bathroom yesterday. I had bad cramping and pain pressure in my vagina to the point it brought tears. Not fun and super scary. So if something doesn't seem right call!

Same thing happen to me, completely terrifying. I had to go to the ER the day after we were discharged to have it removed... Not fun... So sorry that happenstance to you too!
Had c-section and the bleeding does come and go. I am 17pp and it has just about stopped, hopefull for good. I think with my previous section it was around week 3 also.
BFP 10/31/12, MC 11/9/12 - We had to say goodbye before we could really say hello.
Mine stopped a few days ago (around 2 weeks)...then started up again yesterday. I think it's cause I've been more active but it's definitely very light.
I was in panty liners by the 4th day. I'm now 10 days pp and its on and off. Mostly if I move around to much or after driving. If its not blood its this wierd pale orange/yellow discharge in the pantyliner.
I'm 10 days pp and am still bleeding heavily. I thought it was changing to pink/brown, but now it's back to bright red. I'm not soaking thru pads in an hour. I'm not doing too much. All I'm doing is sitting on the couch and BF all day long. I thought by now I'd be close to being done with the bleeding. Not sure if I should call about it since I'm not soaking thru the pads, but the bright red color is a little concerning.
I had bright red blood from the beginning. I dont soak through in one hour so I figured I was fine. I'd hate to find out i was wrong :-S. Anyway Im 2wks PP and it just started to turn more brown. However it has happened before and went back to red. Ive been wearing generic depends still. Cant wait until this is over
8 days PP and it's slowing down, can prob switch to panty liners today. Really probably could've days ago, but I ended up with a stash of maxi pads from my shower (I'm friends with realists). I'm not typically much of a bleeder, periods are usually light too.
With my first DS I had a emergency CS and bled for about 3 weeks afterwards, I am now 12 days post partum with a scheduled CS and to my utter suprise....I have not bled at all! The doctors have all told me that it's fine and that im just one of the lucky ones.... I feel like it's just gunna come gushing at any point because Uve been so lucky! I'm breastfeeding though which I didn't do with my first... Maybe that had something to do with it?
Re: Post partum bleeding...
Though each woman is different.
