  I didn't plan on testing until after my wedding next Monday. Well, I ovulated a week early, so that was out. 

  
  

  I took a test, didn't see a line right away so I tossed it in a drawer. Went back an hour or so later, OBVIOUS line. I immediately ran out and said "you know how I wasn't going to test until after the wedding? Well... we're pregnant!"

  this was our first month ttc since my af returned (still bf). I tested at 10 dpo and didn't see anything right away and was bummed. A minute later, I looked again and saw a line. I made up an excuse for Dh to come home from work and ds was at the door to greet him with his "big brother" shirt.

  I called him while he was at work right after I took the test and told him. We were just texting back and forth and couldn't wait to tell him.
  I would have loved to have planned something but I'm horrible at keeping a secret like this.

  I waited until DD's nap and sat next to him and told him I had something to tel him. We weren't planning on getting pregnant, but earlier in the week I had discharge that looked an awful lot like colostrum, which is why I tested. He told me he knew and that there was no way I'd have stuff leaking from my boobs if I didn't.

  My husband was with me when I took the tests. I wanted to do some cute way to tell him, but he wanted us to find out together. Im glad we did it that way, it was fun to experience those first excited emotions together!

  We planned on testing this morning. I took my test at 5:30am. I thought he was asleep, but as soon as I came out of the bathroom he was wide awake and asked me the results. Then we just stayed in bed and snuggled.  :x

  I didn't plan on testing at all as my body had only just started firing again after the previous one, but I randomly decided to this morning, which I haven't done in months because there has been no chance for a while. Odd how that worked out. I bought a really nice journal for my husband and I to write to our baby last year. I was always upset that it had perforations to rip out pages when it was such a nice journal. Well when that one didn't work out I suddenly became happy with the perforations. My husband left for a little bit this morning so I took the journal, removed the old pages and added a new entry. I wrapped up the journal in Christmas wrapping paper (all I had) and presented it to him as a Christmas in July present - 6 months later to the day. I thought the date was so convenient in helping to ensure he had no clue what I was doing.

  I tried all day to thinl of something cute to do to tell DH, but when he got home from work, I met him at the door all excited and said "I have something to tell you..." and he knew.

  My son is 2.5 and so curious, he was in the bathroom with me when I tested. It came up positive and I told him to show Daddy... He ran down the hall yelling 'Papa!!' like he'd made it himself. My husband was delighted, and my son was happy to have been involved even if he didn't understand what was going on. So cute.

  I woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn't sleep because I planned to test today (after 2 BFNs on Target cheapie tests at 7 and 10 DPO). I realized DH hadn't been able to sleep and went out on the couch so I figured I could mess with the lights in the bathroom no problem. I really wasn't expecting anything, but sure enough! I retested on a digital after guzzling water and it was negative, so one positive, one negative. I wanted to take another to be sure before telling DH so I waited in agony until I could go buy more and get more pee (ha). I finally tested when he was at the gym and the line was already darker than at 4:30 (even with a 22oz of water from my own workout!). I put DD in an adorable Big Sister shirt I bought off etsy that I planned to just wait for him to notice, but as soon as he got home from the gym and picked her up I just had to tell him to read it. Big grins!

  
  

  I've been asking DD all morning if she's excited to be a big sis and she keeps saying "yeah yeah!!"
